outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

Often used as a "step-down" option after you've completed a residential or inpatient program, the partial hospitalization program (PHP) typically involves a minimum of 20 hours of treatment per week for approximately 90 days. Programs offer structured programming that includes relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy services. Insurance coverage for PHP treatment varies among insurance providers.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

Individuals in early recovery often require 24-hour clinical care in North Carolina. This supervised care typically includes medications to treat specific withdrawal symptoms, which vary based on the substance abused. For example, staff may provide sleep aids to treat insomnia in patients who are addicted to marijuana. For those overcoming a cocaine use disorder, anti-depressants may be prescribed to manage mood swings. Other medications may also be provided to treat addiction-related health issues.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

To Alamance Regional: Your facility left me with PTSD. I could have sued you for your treatment methods, had I known how illegal said methods were sooner. Your mistreatment of patients will be the end of your facility. To potential patients and patients' family: Do not leave ... Read More

This place is possibly the worst hospital I think you could ever go to, genuinely I think going to the deepest pits of hell would be better and you d probably get better medical attention there.

I am currently here now waiting to be released. I came in this morning for kidney stones. They got me right in. CT scan immediately. Got me hooked up to antibiotics and I am on the mend. I could not have asked for better care from the front desk to the nurses to the Dr. Thank you to all of you.

I still can t believe this hospital is still in business. I only come here when it s an emergency and because the hospital is local. Too bad emergency situations are not treated as emergencies. I can always expect to wait about 4-8 hours to be seen and finally get some answers before it s nighttime. Just terrible! When you finally get seen, the staff is nice and helpful though.

Left after sitting two hours in lobby and no patients left around me waiting. Internal bleeding following a car wreck, but I would rather Die than go to this hospital.

Staff was really nice. But they transported me to The Interactive Resource Center. Was a really wrong decision because I almost got killed there for my safety. They should ve got me a safer plan for discharge instead of waiting 3 hours to be seen there. There was a nurse that really was a light that she really motivated me for positivity. But the discharge planning was not a good one

I went in with pneumonia an was treated well. From check in to discharge great nurses Drs housekeeping an food. Only one person made me feel like I was less then human. Made me feel embarrassed belittled. I still am having nightmares about this nurse. Not sure I will ever get over how I was made to feel. This nurse is why I did not give 5 stars.

I would give this place negative two million if I could. The level of incompetence between all of the ARMC facilities is really baffling considering the leaps and bounds of modern technology. The hospital, wound care, the new million dollar vein and vascular wing, heart center, kidney center.. all incompetent and deserve zero ratings. I speak not from one bad experience but countless encounters from all sides from EACH of these places for the past 8 months. I use the word incompetence not from my opinion but the words of two another physicians at two unrelated facility's out of ARMC's network. They both questioned how this medical system and all of these specialists would have had all those puzzle pieces over the past year and not put them together to find the root cause of a problem. The doctors you do have on staff are overworked and don't have the time to correctly look at a chart or diagnose a problem sufficiency or quite frankly communicate to other doctors the patient is currently seeing to come up with a legitimate game plan. The hospital herds people through the system like cattle. The other floating doctors are just that; the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Medical Negligence is the only way to describe it and it's down right criminal.
