I can thankfully say that today I am 5.5 years clean, and I have tapered down ~50% of my original peak dose. The doctors, front desk staff, nurses, and manager(s) are very nice, and understanding. The service provided at this Aegis Treatment Centers location by their amazing staff is excellent, and I am thankful everyday for the work they do, and continue to do. They have to put up with some of the worst people often, and for that they have my utmost respect. Thank you for being amazing, patient, and understanding. Whenever I’m sick or not feeling well, they always step in right away and make sure I’m taken care of. It never feels like I’m just another patient to them. They genuinely check on me, help me through it, and make sure I’m as comfortable as possible. All of the nurses work together in such a kind and supportive way, and because of that, I always feel really welcomed when I walk in. Even on rough days, I know I’m going to be met with patience, understanding, and care instead of stress or judgment. The therapists were probably the nicest, most caring, therapists I’ve ever met. The groups here are my #1 favorite out of all of the places I’ve ever been and they are led by the therapists. The chef 👌🏾 literally didn’t make a single thing that I didn’t like, I loved everything he cooked. The house is extremely clean. The outings every week were one of my favorite things here as well. And if you asked the staff or therapist for anything they absolutely tried their hardest to make it happen. Adam is super kind and caring and always addressed any issues I had. I left early due to me not being able to handle some of the stricter policy’s but it doesn’t change how I feel about the staff and my time there. Brittany and Martha and one other person in front desk that I don’t remember the name of was very helpful since first day. Taline the nurse who dispenses the medication was very nice and helpful same with Bianca (Im sure that’s her name but a part of me feels like her name might be different and I accidentally mixed the name up so I’m leaving this note up just in case I got the name wrong but she’s on the computer in the first door left when you enter in the hallways) was also very nice and attentive and helpful and I think is the manager of the entire place and she helps me transfer to my new place by coordinating everything. The doctor with glasses is very chill and very fun to have conversations with and helped me find my correct dose of medication. And Angela who isn’t my counselor but has lots of candy would give me lots of candy especially airheads she is the candy lady. My first counselor was Gloria who was very kind and listened very well in sessions and second counselor I forgot name of never showed up and I think got fired and was a weird woman and third counselor I forgot name of was a cool guy and listened very well. She always made sure I was taken care of and had what I needed, and her support made a difficult time feel a lot easier. I truly appreciate everything she did for me. Michael Carboni also played a huge role in helping me through this process. He helped me get into the facility, assisted me with getting set up with my IOP programs, and continued supporting me throughout my treatment. He also helped me stay an additional week when I knew that going home too soon could have put my sobriety at risk.
