I can thankfully say that today I am 5.5 years clean, and I have tapered down ~50% of my original peak dose. The doctors, front desk staff, nurses, and manager(s) are very nice, and understanding. The service provided at this Aegis Treatment Centers location by their amazing staff is excellent, and I am thankful everyday for the work they do, and continue to do. They have to put up with some of the worst people often, and for that they have my utmost respect. Thank you for being amazing, patient, and understanding. Otherwise, the treatments your facility offers for opiated causes, have been very well conducted. The cost per month, rose significantly, just in one month alone, their was an increase of $60.00, which is a sufficient amount to some folks like myself. Your manager in your El Monte facility, is fantastic an kind an very caring gentleman, an so are both doctor, an the women Maria who works in your dispensary sector, all counselors that I know are great individuals also, this El Monte facility I would recommend/reference too anyone that’s in need of help , in all aspects! I appreciate their staff for everything! Austin Souto-Maior 2 months ago Go here! I know. I know. It’s suspicious when someone offers to fly you to LA ASAP. Trust me, this is the place to go. They will book your flights, pick you up at the airport, etc. Additionally, they handle all of the behind-the-scenes parts (i.e. contacting your workplace, paperwork, etc.). The facility for detox / residential is top notch. You get lunch and dinner catered. You can also make a grocery list for them to get for you. The staff is top notch. I was spoiled with how great my case manager was. The medical techs were also great. I had a mental breakdown and one of them brought me into her office to talk be back to sanity. Basically, how it works is you spend thirty days at the detox / residential facility. The first week-ish is your detox. The rest is going to group courses. Once you complete that, you have the option to do their PHP program (residential living). Much more freedom, fewer classes. If you are someone who has had a history with and have gotten out of religion, AA is pushed heavily on you. Thankfully, I was allowed to go another route for semi-daily meetings once I reached the PHP phase. Bring items comforting you. For me, it was definitely a different area than the Midwest. I certainly wish I had brought by blanket that was breathable in the warm climate. All in all, this was a great opportunity to meet new friends AND get out of whichever substance you have had an issue with. The group sessions are gentle and inviting, to let clients know that they are in capable hands and an accepting environment. The therapy sessions dive deep into the mental health issues that lead to addiction. The homey atmosphere (as opposed to a hospital setting) makes the experience both realistic and comforting. The way it's ran shows clients that they can live a normal, sober life. They had so many resources for me getting my life back on the right track. I found a setting of other guys who had been through so much and were there to listen and to encourage my progress. I honestly felt like staying resort for rehabilitating everything about myself. We did yoga to help the mind and body. We had movie nights to laugh and think and engage in life conversations. The best part was the proximity to the beach. We had a lot of outings and picnics along the Long Beach Shore. The second time I did over hear staff talking about me in the kitchen which was right next to my room. Also fare to say those staff members no longer work there. But I also I wasnt the most pleasant person either, but since this is a detox I'm allowed to be messy. However I was allowed to come back and make an amends to the staff. I would however recommend this place over others but the only reason I left 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the conversation that I overheard. But again this staff members are no longer there. This place can be informative in regards to the addiction process. I'd recommend coming here also.
