About The Way Up

The Way Up Rehabilitation is a drug and alcohol treatment center for young adults and adult men (18+), located in Gainesville, Georgia. The center provides inpatient programs and aftercare services.

The Way Up Rehabilitation is a residential and work based treatment program for men. Their structured program has three phases, covering recovery, responsibility, and respect. Treatment includes achieving sobriety, obtaining work, learning to follow a structured program, and participating in a share of housekeeping. In return, you receive recovery education, counseling, a supportive sober home, career development, and peer support. Participants may also be required to take a random drug screening to ensure compliance with the house rules.

Onsite recovery meetings give residents an opportunity to attend 12 Step Programs like Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous. These recovery groups are run by people in recovery and involve attending regular meetings, working through the 12 Step program with a sponsor, and being of service to others. In addition, clients may participate in individual and group counseling, peer support programs, and community activities.

The Way Up Rehabilitation offers self pay and financing options. The center is in network with selected insurance carriers, which may include Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, and Optum. Please check with your insurance provider for coverage and out of network benefits.

Participants in 12 step recovery programs focus on personal growth to address the emotional and psychological factors contributing to their addiction. 12 step recovery is rooted in spiritual development, but religious affiliation isn't required. Regular group meetings and individualized support with the help of self-selected sponsors promote participants' sobriety as they work through the 12 steps, gaining insight into their addiction, taking responsibility for their life choices, and releasing control over that which is uncontrollable.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober living homes in Georgia offers an alternative to the abrupt change of moving from intensive treatment to an unstructured home environment. Men's and women's sober living homes replicate everyday life situations, but they do so in a sober environment while also reinforcing healthy habits. This reduces the chance of relapse. Individuals who could use extra support after rehab or don't have a stable home environment can benefit from this transitional option.

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

A quality drug rehab in Georgia can help you overcome addiction. This environment is designed to help you address the complex issues contributing to drug dependence. The goal of treatment is to give you the tools you need to make a full recovery.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Roland Bagwell, I came to You and The Way Up in 4-1-17. I m not sure if you remember me but I was next to the oldest at The Way Up! I was employed at The Rock, lol, also known as OTR Wheel. At the time, I believe I complained a lot about my job. But to this day, I am so Thankful and Grateful that YOU kept pushing me forward! I look back on this experience and the tough love that I got from You and The Way Up and just want to say Thank You!!! I have been clean and sober since 4-1-17. You changed my life! I made lots of friends there and occasionally, I miss it! I ll always have those fond memories of You and The Way Up! Thanks and God Bless!

This place changed helped to change my life.Fearless men helped me learn spirituality, and real world behavior, that led to a future I never could ve imagined.Even years after my departure from TWA, the Director was still there to walk through a life trauma with me. His constant presence in my live kept me alive.Later, when more family needed The Way Up, they were there with solutions. I made LIFE LONG BONDS with some of these men.Let me give you a stern warning though DON T GO TO THE WAY UP TO ESCAPE THE LAW. Go somewhere else. This place is ONLY for people that want to change their lives and are ABSOLUTELY committed to sobriety. Do not waste your time. It will be IMPOSSIBLE without total commitment.- BUT -I ABSOLUTELY recommend The Way Up, to any family that doesn t know where to turn, or any alcoholic/addict on their back, looking up from rock bottom.Start here.

Best men's treatment facility in Georgia. Getting clean for a addict is the hardest thing in the world to do. It is also the most rewarding thing in the world and this place will give you the best chance to achieve that.

I was broken and needed help. I called Rowland and he accepted me into the program. All I can say is that , if you want to change your life, go here. It s not a walk in the park but it s the best program in the state of Georgia. My drug of choice was Meth and everything else under the sun. I ve been out of the program since March 2020 and still going strong. I m married and bought a house and still have my same awesome job. I highly recommend this program for serious people only. If you want to play games go somewhere else. If you want to help yourself, Rowland will help you.
