Incorporating exercise and recreational activities into your schedule can also help you manage triggers and negative emotions brought on by mental health struggles.
When you engage in these recreational activities with others who understand what you’re experiencing, you’ll have a community you can tap into when you need it most. This community can give you hope, inspire you, and build your resilience so that you are overcoming the challenges that may have led you to substance use in the first place.
