About Symetria — College Station Outpatient Rehab & Suboxone Clinic

Symetria Recovery - College Station, located in College Station, Texas, offers alcohol and drug rehab services to individuals aged 18 years and older. They also offer mental health treatment and dual diagnosis treatment. Their levels of care include intensive outpatient programs (IOP), medication-assisted treatment, and traditional outpatient care.

The intensive outpatient program allows for higher levels of care and engagement than traditional outpatient services. Clients have access to mental health counselors, peer support groups, process groups, case management, and relapse prevention planning. Each person receives a personalized treatment plan and works closely with their counselor to address the underlying issues of their addiction or mental health concerns.

The medication-assisted treatment program combines FDA-approved medications with mental health counseling. It also allows clients the chance to create relapse prevention plans, work through the underlying cause of their addiction, and receive guidance from the dosing staff who are trained in supporting individuals withdrawing from addictive substances.

As a person progresses in their treatment program, they are encouraged to continue treatment through aftercare support. This typically involves lessening the frequency of their treatment.

Symetria Recovery – College Station accepts most insurance plans, such as Multiplan, Medicare, and Optum. Out of network benefits may vary, so it’s important to verify coverage with your insurance provider prior to starting treatment.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient Rehab

Inpatient rehab programs are geared toward clients in early recovery. They also provide intensive support for clients in crisis and those at an increased relapse risk. Clients receive housing and meals while in inpatient care, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery. Most programs prioritize addiction counseling but may draw on various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, RBT, trauma therapy, and motivational interviewing. Life skills training and holistic therapies are also common in inpatient care.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs are based on a model of continuing care and the premise that recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing client support. Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs promote participants' sustained sobriety through rigorous and ongoing peer coaching and personal spiritual growth. Participants routinely attend 12 step meetings, which are available multiple times per day, 365 days per year in most communities. This ensures that those in recovery have prompt access to the structure and support they need when they need it. These programs use spiritual precepts to address the root causes of addiction and encourage compassion, self-awareness, forgiveness, accountability, and acceptance.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Residents of a sober living home in Texas reside at the halfway house with others who have agreed to abstain from substances and practice sober-living skills. The relationships and accountability formed here can help individuals strengthen their mental health and achieve long-term recovery. Residents share common spaces such as kitchens and back yards, share meals together, and share household responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Texas provides a safe environment for medical detox. This setting is crucial to provide medical care during withdrawal. Certain withdrawal symptoms can cause life-threatening conditions, but patients in a supervised clinical setting have treatment readily available to address any symptoms before they become severe. Treatment can also be provided for co-occurring physical and mental health issues.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Heart icon Treatment

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Therapy sessions that incorporate motivational interviewing focus on OARS: open questions, affirmation, reflections, and summarizing. This facilitates an exchange of information and an empowering of the client to decide for themselves what changes might need to be made in their lives.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Together with an experienced trauma therapist, you work on healing emotional wounds from traumatic experiences within a trauma therapy environment. Your therapist will help you process the experience of the trauma, which promotes emotional healing and improves your overall mental health.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Lots of success here!

As a person who went through many different methadone clinics in my past with no success, it turns out that environment really matters. Symetria College Station was brand new when I became a patient there. I was immediately taken aback by the environment. No long lines, pers ... Read More

Couldn't update my previous review. I simply ask for more clonidine so I could be comfortable at home when my blood pressure skyrockets which it always does instead of giving comfort meds like clonidine to me they were more than willing to give me a controlled substance like methadone when all I was asking for was something to make me feel more comfortable at home like Clonidine they said my blood pressure was too low I had just taken a clonidine at 4:00 in the morning at 7:00 and they told me my blood pressure was too low to be prescribed more clonidine but yet there are more than willing to dish out the methadone i paid 350 for these services my insurance hasn't kicked in yet. you tell me you want to take my blood pressure now and check bet its 175 or higher the best answer was go to the emergency room out of sight out of mind right thanks

Thanks to Oliva and the admissions team they checked on me while I was sick daily and trying to figure out how to get help at their recovery center. Let me tell you this place is not your normal recovery. There are people that care and actual physicians, psychologist, consulers, and RN nurses. They work your case as an individual not like the guy behind you. Thanks symetra I'm hoping we have a good road to recovery together.Brendt

From the moment I walked in the door, an overwhelming peace settled all around me.The receptionist, the nurse, and Mrs. Collier, were so good to me.The office was very clean and organized. I came during a holiday, and the decorations were wonderful.I didn't feel like I was in a clinic, if felt like a welcoming home.Thank you to all the staff!!

I would say symetria has been a fresh of breath air for me. A new start! I can honestly say my experience from the beginning has been great from the time I picked up the phone till me coming in everyday! Chris at the front desk will greet you with a smile and make you feel at home every time! Sasha and Alexis are one of the key rolls here. They make sure you re completely taken care of and always have a smile on! Susan makes me feel safe and comfortable at being vulnerable. She handles my case and I m blessed to have her! I highly recommend this company. And Carla has to be the most important person. She has went above and beyond for me several times and I m blessed! They helped me start living again and not just getting by!

It s very very simple. Do you want to get off drugs? Do you want to get off and stay off? You can, and WILL accomplish that goal by taking that first step and coming to Symetria. This isn t some inner city methadone clinic that exists solely for politicians to say see, I tried so give me that vote . This is an entire team of great people who s mission in life is to see you sober and happy. Professional but above all normal folks that want nothing more than to help you help yourself. Like I said it s very simple. If you want to be able to look at yourself in the mirror and say I am not a drug addict. We all need help. We have the will power but when your body fights you every step of the way and you begin to feel that it s just not possible to get clean. That s what I thought too. I m begging you to just come down here and give it a go. You can get clean and stay clean with these people. I promise you. Symetria saved my life and I mean that as literally as I possibly can. They can save yours too.
