Spero Health - Savannah

About Spero Health

Spero Health is an addiction treatment center with a location in Savannah, Tennessee. They state that they find success with their clients by integrating the power of three: physician services, counseling, and recovery support services. Here, they treat those with drug and alcohol addictions, including opioid addictions and co-occurring disorders. Their costs seem to be on the more affordable side, plus they accept Medicaid. This is an outpatient center, though, so if you’re seeking a more intensive drug rehab center, this may not be the one for you.

What really stands out to me about this facility are their evidence-based practices. They offer individual and group counseling, individualized recovery plans, physician visits, mental and physical health screenings, and most importantly, medication assisted therapy, or MAT. Despite being an outpatient center, patients suffering from opioid addiction can be prescribed Suboxone or Vivitrol to ease their cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Spero Health likes to survey their patients to get a feel for their measured success. According to their website, more than 90% of their patients feel satisfied with their treatment and feel more positive about themselves. On top of that, 75% of their patients choose to stay with them for over a year.

Great people but the worst off site blood sucking billing department I've ever seen. I was a self pay patient who started on the 28th last month and was told $300 a month. That was a LIE because it's the 21st of the next month at the time of this post so it hasn't even been a month for me yet and they want $450. They tried to explain it to me saying I still had to pay for the previous month where I started the 28th....So they want me to pay for those two days at the end of the last month awhole 2 week payment of $150. Whats even more of a joke is At first they wanted $300 for those two days...if I had known I would have refused service for those two days but I was told $300 a month. I've done been placed on POR status which I'm assuming means pay or reject status and it's not even been a month yet. I get it nothing's free in this world and I'd gladly pay for those 2 days if it was done fair but it's not. Let's do some math here 300 a month....that's like $10 - $11 a day so technically if they wanna argue saying I owe for last month since I started the 28th okay I'll pay the $22 or $33 bucks but I'm not paying you $150 for services I didnt get. I didnt get two weeks services and that's a two week payment by your standards. IT WAS THE 28TH!!! IF YALL REALLY HERE TO HELP ADDICTS I WOULDN'T EVEN CHARGE SOMEONE FOR LAST MONTH IF THEY STARTED THE 28TH!!! 2 OR 3 DAYS ISENT WORTH IT! ID HAVE REFUSED IF I HAD KNOWN!!!!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Levels of Care

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
To keep you safe and comfortable during the detoxification process, a medically assisted detox provides you with a team of medical professionals who can provide the necessary medications to treat any potential withdrawal symptoms. Suddenly stopping chronic abuse of substances like alcohol, benzodiazepines, or opioids can have uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive care without leaving their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically receive intensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Many programs promote clients' long-term sobriety through recovery-focused life skills training and ancillary services, such as peer coaching. Medication assisted treatment (MAT), including medication induction and maintenance, are common in outpatient care. Most facilities offer multiple levels of care to accommodate clients' evolving needs, including intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient programming.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Family therapy uses a structured environment to address the complexities of addiction and the negative influences it has on the family unit. Therapists work with family members to develop effective coping and communication strategies that support their loved one's recovery while also focusing on the health and well being of each family member.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

If you participate in motivational interviewing in Tennessee, your therapist will focus on four key strategies: open questions, affirmation, reflections, and summarizing. Rather than confront or warn you to change, the clinician will allow you to explore your own motivations and decide what changes you may need to make in your life.

Trauma therapy is a safe place to work through the lingering effects of traumatic events in your life. Your therapist will help you understand the physical and emotional responses that can develop after witnessing or experiencing a traumatic event. You then work toward developing healthier coping mechanisms to reduce your symptoms.

This place is unlike any place I have been for my suboxone treatment and I have been to at least 3-4. They truly care about your recovery and will do most anything to help as long as you are serious about recovery. The staff is amazing from the front desk , to the counselor and the doctor. I TOTALLY LOVE SPERO HEALTH!! If you are serious about recovery definitely give them a try!! Thank you SPERO!!
