Don't go here unless you have no other option. They NEVER answer the phone, and do not return calls. I started my daughter in therapy for her body image issues and on the 2nd visit my daughter was told that her therapist does not specialize in what my daughter needs. My daughter is struggling and when she was told that she felt like she was majorly broken. This place is a joke. Make the 20 extra minute drive and go further in for your needs

I don t really have a choice but to go to this location which I m sure others are in the same predicament, but it is not very professional. They never answer the phone, I called and called to reschedule an appointment and they never answered or called back and then told me I was marked as a no call no show. Previously they scheduled my son s appointment for 8am and whomever opens the doors didn t arrive until 8:15. Whenever the doctor tells me to ask my document questions at the front desk, they act like I speak another language. Definitely no help here, I go in for virtual visits with a doc from PHX and I dread it every time!

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive inpatient programs (IOP) offer high-level support for clients in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient rehabs, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically includes rigorous individual, group, and family counseling. Evidence-based complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and massage, are widely available. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) may be provided. Clients in IOP receive a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week but may engage in up to 20 treatment hours weekly.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
If a person denies their substance abuse behavior when confronted one-on-one, a drug intervention in Arizona may be necessary. An intervention may be formally planned with intervention services from a professional who can guide loved ones through this process. The intervention involves confronting someone with how their drinking or drug use has affected themselves and everyone around them and encourages them to get treatment.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body is done under the care of licensed medical professionals. Known as medically assisted detox, this level of care is typically in an inpatient setting with a team of medical experts that may include doctors, nurses, and mental health clinicians. Medications like Suboxone, methadone, or Vivitrol may be administered to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

It s terrifying that you cannot reach anyone at this facility by phone. Plan on taking 45 minutes to continually call until you reach someone. The therapists are great but the customer service employees are HORRIBLE.

Don't waste your time. They say that they have phone issues, yet those issues are not fixed. It cannot be that complicated to fix phone issues. They are working with mentally ill people. I had been trying to talk to someone about my daughter who was experiencing suicidal thoughts and ideation. I could not get ahold of anyone. My daughter attempted to kill herself and is now in an inpatient facility. I feel that this could have been mediated if they picked up the phone and listened to my concerns about her new symptoms since increasing her medication. I emailed multiple people. The emails always came back as undeliverable yet I have received emails from them in the past from the same emails. I emailed their email that they say to email and it took them days to get back to me. The only reason they got back to me is because I now have a lawyer involved. They called me once on June 11th, 2024 and left me a message but I was with my daughters doctors. I have tried to call back and to no surprise no one has answered. Guess I will have the lawyers deal with it. Do not send your loved ones here. Do not recommend this place to anyone. I am working with state officials to have this place investigated and possibly fined and shut down. They receive a lot of state money but are not dealing with their clients effectively. I also tried calling other locations and they are no help.

Everyone do yourself a favor and avoid this location. Completely unprofessional, never pick up the phone, eating right at the front desk, and are never helpful. My daughter used to go here about a couple years ago and I ended up switching to a different location. The doctor she had seen there completely unprofessional and he seemed intoxicated. All the staff completely rude and unhelpful!

I ONLY gave them 1 start because I LOVE my therapist from here! Ugh where do I begin with this place?! When you want to call to make an appt you have to call 5+ times in a row just to get someone to FINALLY answer and they blame it on "phone issues". Then when you finally get thru the wait list for the next available appt is 30+ days out but that's ok because they will give your a bridge for meds until you get to your appt. If you need meds adjusted? Oh well they don't care you have to wait that 30+ days. They don't even offer a different provider in the office to possibly see you sooner than your original dr. OH THE BEST PART!!! They have called me SAME DAY of my appt and CANCELED on me and told me I had to wait an ADDITIONAL 30+ days for the next available appt slot SEVERAL TIMES!!!I'm struggling to find the benefits in this facility and why I should stay as a loyal client

I Just deleted my most critical and negative review I've posted on here. I was blaming the wrong person. It's my fault I'm not getting better. You get back what you put in. No one else can do it for you. Speak up for yourself. Don't allow anyone to medicate the things they don't like about you. It doesn't work that way.

This place is a joke!Good luck making an appointment because they do not answer the phone. When they do, they invalidate you! Their staff leaves a lot to be desired.EDIT: after receiving a reply, I called and got VM. Good job at failing once again. If you know there is a phone issue, WHY isn't it fixed? Aren't you funded with government money? Maybe they should know about your business practices.**I called the admin offices in hopes I could leave a message and someone would reach out to me. The (older sounding) "receptionist" would not give me her name when I asked, she cut me off and sent me straight to VM. While leaving a message, I was disconnected so, I called back. When I asked her name she refused to give me her name. She interrupted me when I explained to her I wanted to speak to someone about the buckeye clinic. She hung up on me. This is the kind of service you can expect to receive.
