inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

24-hour icon24 Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers a short-term alternative to inpatient treatment or a step-down option after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you'll receive 6 to 8 hours of daily support, up to 5 days a week. The duration of a partial hospitalization program can vary with the average length being 90 days. While commuting is necessary, some programs also offer telehealth options. PHP treatment is often covered by insurance and typically offers medication management, relapse prevention techniques, and behavioral therapy.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

recreational-therapy iconRecreational Therapy

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

It is a damn shame that companies like this prey on innocent employees and not pay them their wages. I worked for these people during the month of January and they still owe me 2 checks and over $5k. These people are sick. Myself and other employees have been inquiring about our checks for months and still nothing. I sent 2 emails to hr these past couple weeks and have not heard anything. They are still up and running and expect us to believe that they still don t have the money to pay us. Employee wages should not be the last thing on the to do list. We did not work at this place for fun we worked for checks. 0/10 do not recommend ever working here. They couldn t care less about employees. SICK!

I was a patient there in early 2023. It was a horrible experience. Staff was under qualified and the pursuit for money over ruled the quality of care and general operations. If your Dad was a professional athlete, (with lots of income) you could continue to be an addict, and keep returning to the facility. This particular patient was afforded special privileges and was not expected to participate in the program. How is this helpful to this patient? I came to the facility because I was had a mental breakdown and was suicidal. I do not struggle with addiction, but with trauma and abuse. I left the facility worse off than when I went in. There is more to this story, but too many details to share.Soul Surgery is not equipped to help anyone properly. I did find a fantastic program that did help. I highly recommend Recovia.

So everyone is aware who is reading this...don't believe the new reviews. This company is under investigation!Hey John, sell your Lamborghini and the Corvette to pay all of us past employees but of course that's not the type of person you are.1) Soul Surgery website shows luxury properties that Soul Surgery no longer rents. They have been evicted from EVERY SINGLE FACILITY!!!2) Soul Surgery borrowed hundreds of thousands of dollars if not in excess of $1m in the last 6-7 months from hard money lenders who are now have been forced to sue for non-payment. Rather than pay the employee wages Mr. Mulligan used the money to continue his lavish lifestyle such as private jet, Lamborghini's, multi million dollar yachts, multi million dollar houses!!3) ALL OF THE employees have been left without pay and health insurance!!!

My Mom has been with Soul Surgery for the past 2 months. It's been truly amazing to witness her transformation & continued progression since joining. What I love about Soul Surgery is that it has provided my Mom with a stable environment to live alcohol-free, receive support and training for sober living, and encourages her freedom in creating a fulfilled and joyful life. She rides her bike every day around the city and nearby parks, chooses to meal prep her food weekly for health, enjoys fun hobbies, and is free to come and go as she pleases. She is vibrant, excited about life, and is consistently engaged in the training activities and group meetings that she attends daily.I am happy that we are able to spend time together anytime on and offsite. It was great to get together on Memorials Day for swimming & family time. It is so nice to get to visit and talk on the phone and in person.I am extremely grateful for Soul Surgery and the difference it is making for my Mom. I am looking forward to seeing her continue on her path of recovery and create everything she desires for her life. <3

Soul Surgery was highly concentrated on making the most money possible, with little care or regard to the actual patients. They were consistently moving patients around, not due to the patients progress, but due to making the most amount of money possible. I worked in the facilities and the amount of times I had to transfer patients to different houses with a moments notice or didn't have the proper medication to administer due to the clinic's error was alarming. There was a consistent issue with miscommunication between the therapists and the housing staff, which the housing staff was always being blamed for. Patients would leave treatment, AMA (against medical advise) because they didn't like the program or the constant issues we had with the clinic, and the housing managers would get in trouble for it.There was a high turnover rate with staff which caused issues with information being relayed across all departments and with new staff members coming in, training was rushed. With staffing issues in housing, others were having to put in more hours to cover but wouldn't get paid overtime. They loved to put the housing staff on salary in order to have them work as many hours as possible with no additional pay. There were weeks that I work 60 hours+ with no compensation or acknowledgement.

Had to quit working here due to not being paid. HR (owners daughter) doesn't represent the employees and they placed my license at risk with unethical practices. SS has their clients lie...One insurance was being billed while the client with that insurance was being used as a house mgr and cook. Their insurance company questioned the wife and they lied....Character defects being encouraged here. UPDATE:To date (6/1/24), no attempt to pay my three paychecks OWED. Nice cars (Lamborghini and Genesis) being driven by John, Heather, and the girlfriend. Clinic is no longer existent (evicted) and only one house barely remains. Lavish lifestyle still being lived with cars, homes, and dinners with money from clients, employees, and AHCCCS.UPDATE TO SOUL SURGERY RESPONSE: I do not believe it is the owner John responding to me, since our last conversation was him cussing me for being honest with my clients.....My license was placed in jeopardy when I was moved to a sober living house to do individual sessions and groups. Sober living is not to have those services per State requirements. Positive direction, would be sending us all our pay.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the transformative impact this place has had on my mom's life. After 15 years of battling addiction, her two-month stay here has been nothing short of miraculous. The supportive environment, coupled with compassionate staff and fellow residents, has been instrumental in her journey to sobriety. This haven is not just a house; it's a beacon of hope for individuals seeking recovery. We are forever indebted to the incredible team behind this life-changing program.

With this facility transitioning to a hybrid sober living platform requiring the daily programming with the way it has been taught has been life changing to say the least, the opportunity my wife and I have been given to join this program I must say not only my life individually has been saved my marriage has been as well and that has not been a focus in fact my marriage saved is a most pleasant by product of my own and my wife's sobriety as individuals, while my wife and I are working this program as individuals our bond has grew in strength along with the connection we have which is growing daily, this in depth 12 step based program has taught me how to live differently in sobriety. With learning how to live differently in sobriety the freedom to come and go as we please along with the ability to work has been excellent to allow us to experience the outside world while still in a safe environment, with this being my first and only treatment that I've ever gone through it be extremely difficult to imagine any other program having the impact Soul Surgery has had on me if I was given a choice how I want to attain sobriety I would chose this place, I am forever thankful and greatful for having the opportunity for sobriety and learning how to use the tools from who I have learned them from.Coach M I thank you for the opportunity and I'm grateful to learn how I am being taught.

Soul Surgery has been very sketchy and trying to get extra money from clients and harassing them. It's disgusting that they are taking advantage of their clients and employees.

This facility is not good to their employees and owe numerous people back pay.If they treat their staff with disrespect think about how they will treat patients.I would not recommend this place to anyone.
