About Saint Johns Riverside Hospital – Outpatient

St John's Riverside Hospital - Outpatient in White Plains, New York has many different services to help individuals overcome addiction. Their program focuses on individualized care with personalized treatment plans for each patient. It is this personalized approach that will be essential for those patients to find effective coping mechanisms and come to terms with the underlying issues relating to their addiction. The hospital accepts most insurance plans, which allows the outpatient program to be attainable by a large number of people.

The outpatient program provides group and individual counseling to its patients, giving them access to both peer support as well as advanced therapy techniques from licensed counselors during the recovery process. Group therapy allows people to share their stories and gain resources from others who are experiencing similar pain, which can be an incredible aid. Individual therapy, on the other hand, will hone in more specifically on each patient’s struggles and provide specific ways to cope through their recovery.

Flexibility is a primary advantage of their outpatient program. This allows patients to get the treatment they need and still go about their normal lives, which might include work, school or family commitments. This can be especially attractive to anyone who simply cannot take time off work or family responsibilities, which could keep them from entering inpatient rehab.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you choose drug rehab in New York, you'll participate in a variety of treatments that are designed to help you live a drug-free lifestyle. Common methods of treatment include group, individual, and family counseling, medication management, nutrition, exercise, and management of co-occurring mental health disorders.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
