I have never left a google review before, but I feel that it is warrented at this time. This is the absolute worst practice that does not care about their patients at all. They have you come into the office just to have the doctor be virtual and don t even tell you before hand. This was my first ever appointment with them. They make you do urinalysis every three months when you don t have a history of substance abuse and are not on controlled substances. I have been on the exact same medications for 10 years with no changes. They won t re up your medication until the date of my appointment with them in 2 weeks and the reason I am out is because they prescribed it incorrectly. When asked to speak to the doctor they decline. Doctor prefers me to be off my medications for two weeks vs doing a virtual before then. I am a compliant patient. I work Monday through Friday and cannot be on their schedule. I only started going to this practice due to moving to Fayetteville but I much rather pay out of pocket for my Duke provider then this. What absolute joke of a facility.

Do not go here for HELP especially if you have had domestic violence, seen someone pretty much be murdered or have mental health issues. This psychiatrist really thought that me telling him how I was feeling after him lowering a stable dose that I wasn't doing well and felt like I was going to end up in the hospital that I was trying to mess up his license and convince him to write more medication. All I said and all I said was I wanted to feel normal and I have been through too much to be flip flopping around. AND I HAD TO ALMOST YELL THAT AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS TO GET A WORD IN AND WALKED OUT! P.S. Mrs Sakil is a good counselor.

Location

Accepted Insurance

Renew Counseling Center Of NC works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) evolve with clients' changing needs and are often well-suited for clients exiting inpatient rehab and those at an increased relapse risk. These programs typically involve between nine and 20 hours of treatment weekly, with the intensity and frequency of care decreasing as clients stabilize. Most intensive outpatient rehabs integrate a variety of treatment modalities to maintain a high level of individualized care. Services generally include counseling, recovery education, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer a complete continuum of care for clients in the maintenance phase of recovery and are predicated on the idea that addiction disease is a chronic condition prone to relapse and warranting continuing care. Clients collaborate with their care team and case manager to access the specific rehab aftercare services they need to promote their sustained sobriety. Peer coaching, relapse prevention services, career counseling, and 12 step program induction are common in these programs.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services can provide customized interventions tailored to the needs of the individual and family. An intervention specialist can design and conduct a drug intervention in North Carolina that encourages the individual to enter treatment in a non-coercive manner. The specialist will meet with the family to plan the intervention, then provide expert insights to guide the process and appropriate follow-up care.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Clients who receive cognitive behavioral therapy in North Carolina typically attend five to 20 sessions. During this time, they work with their therapist to learn healthier patterns of thinking, which can help them change their behavior related to substance use.

Counseling that applies dialectical behavior therapy teaches you coping skills to apply to your daily life. The focus is on intense emotions and developing coping mechanisms to manage them. Therapy sessions are a series of teaching lessons that help you develop these coping skills.

Men and women enjoy a supportive environment within group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. You can share your experiences and build connections with your peers while receiving encouragement from individuals who have faced similar challenges.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy helps you reclaim your life after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Therapists help to process these memories, which promotes emotional healing and reduces anxiety in social situations. This improves your overall well being and increases your self confidence.

Family therapy sessions address the emotional toll that addiction has had on the family unit and individual members. Therapists work with families to develop better coping strategies, which in turn create a stable environment for their loved one's recovery process.

Routine tasks are difficult for someone experiencing addiction. Daily skills deteriorate, which makes it harder to achieve recovery. That's why drug rehab programs in North Carolina reteach basic life skills. This gives you the tools you need to manage daily life without returning to substance use.

Recreational therapy in North Carolina helps you during drug and alcohol addiction recovery by engaging you in activities that support your physical and mental health. Sports, arts, and outdoor adventures give you positive experiences that help replace substance use and help you develop healthy habits and a support network.

You can participate in creative arts therapy in a variety of settings. Options include medical institutions, rehab facilities, and therapists' offices. Sessions are held in individual and group formats. Types of therapy include music, drama, dance, and painting.

Got new insurance, and Renew was covered by my insurance company. The staff were nice, the first nurse was very friendly, helpful and very understanding of my condition. Then I met the doctor. He told me he would not help me!?!? He said my current medications (which have been subscribed to me for nearly 20+yrs) were "unethical" in his opinion. He told me, "Get off the medication you're on, and I'll help you. If not, don't come back. "The best part is that I just got a bill for $60 and don't have that insurance anymore. I called and got put on hold and transferred multiple times.I don't understand why they roll out a welcome mat and then basically kick you to the curb.

This place has some good reviews, so I was excited to schedule in hope to get my son some help. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience like everyone else. Lots of gaps in my son's services and had a very difficult time getting a message out to his consuler and scheduling. There was miscommunication with some services they were suppose to be coordinated with the school that never happened.

I had a first appointment set up for a few weeks and they had emailed me a few times to confirm appt, fill out documents, and to let me know if I cancelled it would be a $50 fee. I was on the way to appointment today and they called me 30 min beforehand to cancel it. The woman was apologetic and said it was her fault, but I decided to not reschedule with them. I was looking forward to appointment and they waited until I was literally on the way to cancel on me when I needed the help. I am now looking for another dependable counselor. Just a heads up for any new patients.

Ignore any reviews that say this place is unorganized or unprofessional! It ran as smoothly as possible!!!! Went twice for texting each time was as pleasant as could be expected! The owner is a passionate and caring individual and her staff exhibits her moral. You are treated like family! PS during the COVID testing you were not supposed to go inside for your test. I m assuming that s why there were people breaking at the front desk. The COVID testing was all drive up and outside! Thank you for such a blessing to have an additional location to be tested!
