I have been coming here since they opened. It's a very clean, new office. They have a lab on site and if you go in the A M they send your blood draw up to VA North Port and the lab work is ready the next day for your appointment at North Port VA.

I’m not sure why this hospital has such a low rating. Big shout out to Dr Mitchell Long/ orthopedic surgeon, and his closest team. Besides it the staff were excellent from the beginning to the end. From the security desk, to pre testing team, pre op and post op teams. Everyone there was attentive, helpful, pleasant, empathetic. The only con is you have to pay for the parking.

I have to say my daughter speaks nothing but great things about this place and she’s been in and out of different places for a couple years now, but this experience for her has so far helped as far as structure activities and even just feeling like a normal kid. I myself don’t think I have anything bad to say based on What I’ve seen and what I’ve been told.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I was at Sagamore 4 years ago when I was 16 and they gave me PTSD. They restrained me so often for sometimes the littlest of reasons when all I needed was someone to talk to and hear me out. After Sagamore I ended up at a great residential program where they helped me worked through my PTSD that Sagamore has caused. The residential program taught me that I am a person and not a patient. Also, I still get nightmares from my time at Sagamore. I sometimes wake up screaming in a cold sweat all because they use so much physical force on an unviolent 16 year old girl who was struggling with severe depression, anxiety, and undiagnosed autism at the time. I can say now that no thanks to Sagamore that I'm finally in a place where I accept myself for who I am but I wish that Sagamore didn't give me PTSD. Because of the PTSD Sagamore gave me I still have struggles that I'm working through today that nobody should have to work through in the first place.

Amazing Acute Reahab Center. They helped with my hip recovery and I always felt that they really cared about me. Hopefully I'll never need them again but would recommend them to anyone. Also the food is great!!!

Excellent rehab Hospital. I came here to rehab after my back surgery. Very professional! The PT and OT sessions really got me back on my feet. I had 3 hours a day while under the care of doctors and nurses. Everyone is very nice and cared about my welfare. I saw many hospital administrators who wanted to make sure I was happy with my rehab. Social worker was awesome. I even saw the VP of rehab medicine who I felt, was genuinely concerned for my comfort. I cannot say enough good things about this Rehab facility. The whole Catholic Health group is fabulous. The employees are to be happy working here. Even the food is great. I would definitely recommend this facility.

I went here years ago I was on C unit and F unit..It was 1994-1997 we went trips on Thursdays. Had the lions club throw Christmas parties. Harry legette and Jeannie Lavalle. Funny thing is I can remember every name from sagamore But highschool middle school forget it 😂.Not a bad place we were over medicated. And some of the patients were transferred to other hospitals like Brunswick and south oaks. Suffolk NY still has a lot of these places open..

Before choosing this place I read the reviews and I was scared but honestly I had limited options. I’m so grateful I came here. I was able to get taken care of and the groups were helpful. I learned a lot. The lady who runs it, Fran V. Took extra time with me to talk about my kids and what I needed to take care of them. She helped me find the strength I didn’t know I had honestly.

I really like this program and find it super helpful for my depression. The groups usually go by fast and have great prompts and different ways of thinking and very nice and knowledgeable people running it. They don’t make you share or participate if you don’t want to, my only critique would be they should probably call on people to participate and share ( and of course allow them the option to say no I don’t want to share) because most of us are willing to participate and just need to be prompted but will never volunteer on our own

Jennifer was my therapist and never in my life have a I been treated like a true human being before I met her. She changed the game. There’s nothing bad I can say about Phoenix House.I was there for almost 6 months and I loved it.If your looking to live sober,this would be a great start on your journey.Most of the staff are caring,compassionate,in recovery themselves and give you sound advice.They offer several programs,there’s vending machines and the food isn’t all that bad.I made several friends that I like to call “winners”.I did what I was taught in recovery...I stuck with them.Thrive was nice enough to come threw and do seminars.We also got to go to thrive and sit threw a few great seminars as well.From my first day to my last,I loved it.Just watch out for the staff member named Paul.On the day I left he stole my belongings.Fucking thief.Lisa is great,Gaston(Awesome),Jess your “the best”,Mike,Jerry..love u all.The nurses and the rest of the staff I love you.Hauppauge Phoenix house...the time of my life.

I was in treatment at Phoenix House for seven months. This review if for the HAUPPAUGE house.
PROS: The counseling from most of the staff was excellent one on one. They allow you to have your PHONE after 30 days. You get about $150/mo from the state. Out of house visits every two weeks. A small gym. They will help you with schooling (ACCESS VR). They help you get your license back via the DAR program. They have groups for grief and loss, anger management, relapse prevention, relationships group.
CONS: There's no smoking. Most rooms have bunk beds. AA only comes twice per week. The food is not great. A lot of the clients have "jail house" mentalities. Just avoid these people. The facility is old and under funded.

We want to thank Phelps Hospital ER from the bottom of our hearts. My husband was sick with high fever, turns out he had pneumonia. Every person who interacted with us was very kind, helpful, responsive, courteous, caring and prompt. They took him in quickly. Assigned him a nice room with a door and curtain. Everywhere was clean, everything and everyone was very orderly. They quickly did the work up, started the IV fluids, gave the nebulizer and painkillers. Dr. Nick was very cool. Big thanks to our nurse Ryan, super organized, super helpful. My husband received the treatment he needed, was feeling much better when we were leaving. We were done in less than 4 hours. We certainly did not expect our ER experience to turn out this way. Thank you for this pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

I don't know what this place is like now but I can tell you 30 years ago when I was a homeless addict, I came to try and get clean This program works it's not easy but neither is being on the street looking for money to get high. This is the program where you go when you have no friends no family no money and no insurance. It's no frills but it's clean they feed you and you get to learn how to live drug free with other people. I think we should invest in more places like this one. I Felt I had to add this after reading some other reviews yes this place is a very old building part of our job as we got clean was also to do the daily chores of keeping Our house clean. I don't know about some of the other people who were there but I was literally sleeping either on the trains or just in the street somewhere so This place was a step up for me. 🙏🏻 greatful every day.
