About Oxford House Greystone
Oxford House Greystone in Topeka, Kansas, is a community-based recovery center that supports those who are overcoming alcohol and drug addiction. While the Greystone location is located in Kansas, there are 3,500 other campuses around the United States. What sets Oxford House Greystone apart from other types of sober living homes out there is that this program is a shared residence program, meaning there is no house manager to help navigate all of the responsibilities of sober living. That means everyone who is living in the Oxford House Greystone is not only focused on their personal recovery efforts, but also the sober living efforts of their housemates.
The Oxford House Greystone is a completely self-governed program, which means all of the housemates vote to choose who gets to move into the home, how the chores and financial responsibilities will be divided, and how discipline procedures are addressed. Another thing that’s popular about the Oxford House program is that there isn’t a specific amount of time a person needs to be sober to be able to participate in the program. But most of the residents have at least attended a 28 day rehab and detox program.
Another helpful aspect of Oxford House Greystone is that there isn’t any limitation on how long an individual can stay in the program. As long as the person stays sober, is supportive of their housemates, and continues to share the household expenses, they can stay as long as they would like. The Equal Expense Share for Oxford House can range from $125 to $250 a week for each member. That number varies depending on the total amount of all of the expenses.

Treatments
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
Clinical Services
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
