About New Season Treatment Center – Leon County

New Season’s Leon County Treatment Center is an outpatient drug rehab treatment center that focuses on opioid addiction in Tallahassee, Florida. They offer an outpatient (OP) program for adults that includes medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Medication assisted treatment can reduce cravings and minimize withdrawal symptoms, allowing the individual to stabilize and reduce the chances of relapse. This allows clients to focus fully on recovery as they attend evidence-based treatment to create a long-term, substance-free lifestyle.

Their outpatient program provides a team of addiction specialists, including doctors, nurses, and counselors, to work with each client. They work together to determine the right medication and treatment plan for each person individually. Treatments include individual, group, and family therapy to work through addiction recovery. During counseling, clients examine the reasons behind addiction and learn their triggers. They develop resilience plans to avoid relapse.

They accept Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance plans which may include Cigna, Ambetter, Bright Health, Humana, Aetna, Amerigroup, Wellmark, HCSC, Anthem, and others. Check your coverage and out of network benefits with your provider.

This was a place at one time I thought would be and actually for a short time was a simple way to treat my addiction but over the past few months has turned into a drama filled, unpredictable place of ridicule and judgement. Anyone dealing with addiction knows that being perceived as a junkie is one of the main reasons that most don t seek help, here you will be looked at, and treated just like that a common street junkie, there is no structure here which is the main thing needed for successful treatment, staff shows up when they want and yet they want the patient to have accountability but cant take it themselves. They re short staffed because of the hostile work environment they themselves create and then blame it on the patients not understanding that if their routine was persistent alot of upset patients would be more understanding. They re change their dosing times to meet their own inability to show up to work on time, most places of business that provide a service knows that if you start serving at a certain time you should consider the setup time it takes prior, so if dosing hours start at 5am that means be there at 4:30 so you can set up for it that doesn t mean show up at 5:15 and then set up amd start dosing at 5:30 am. I literally got yelled at and was told to go somewhere else if I cant deal with the constant tardiness because they are tired

I started my road to recovery at New Seasons. I owe the counselors and nurses there my life. Ashley was my counselor for 4 years and she was awesome. Unfortunately she had to leave her job there and I was assigned to Winnifred. She was also very good at her job. They were both kind, compassionate and understanding. They both went above and beyond. The nurses there were extremely kind and caring and treated me as a person not just an addict. I have to give special thanks to Ms. Sharon, Princess and Jasmine, they are very dedicated to their jobs and professional. I had to leave New Seasons because I moved out of state and I truly miss it so much, I know everyone can't be happy all the time, but this is a great place. If your sobriety is important to you and you really are willing to work for it, New Seasons staff will help you every step of the way. Thank you to all the staff there and I miss you all. I'm sober over 5 years now.

Accepted Insurance

New Season Treatment Center – Leon County works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) involve frequent and robust therapeutic sessions for clients requiring high-level care. Clients may engage in a combination of medication assisted treatment (MAT), addiction counseling, recovery skills training, and holistic therapies for a minimum of nine and a maximum of 20 hours per week. Intensive outpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient care, and those at an elevated relapse risk.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I've been a patient at New Season for 20 years now. 7 at the Leon County location. I've watched things deteriorate for a while now. We have a program director, but one person can't be everywhere at one time. If you're about to start treatment, find another clinic. Everyone is doing whatever they chose and treating people however they feel. I was actually Verbally Abused at the window by one of the nurses. Her name is Octavia, and she yelled at me for 10 mins, loudly, in front of staff and everyone in line. She said my name over and over, so other people started saying it too, just saying mean things. Staff sat by and allowed her to yell at me like she did, and patients to say whatever they wanted. I was humiliated! She's always rude, and doesn't belong working somewhere that is supposed to care about their patients.

I want to start by saying I give everybody at the new seasons clinic on Woodville highway a 5 - one person I give a one to and that persons name is Erica Morris. She is an overseer of the co-pays for insurance as well as making sure patients have valid insurance. She does not do that properly but that's not the biggest issue right now. The biggest issue is how she treats the patients at this clinic. She is blatantly disrespectful ,mean ,unsupportive and extremely negative and this is all the time not occasionally. She always has a frown on her face and she looks like she hates her job and this has been going on for more than a year close 2 years . She has gotten me to the point where I don't even want to come into the clinic anymore because I feel uncomfortable and I always worry that she's going to do something to retaliate and be malicious if I try to stand up for my rights. Multiple people have complained and it has had many people leaving her office in tears. I have filed a grievance I am considering seeking a lawyer . This is not okayI don't know if she has an issue with patients with addictions or it's a race thing,I don't know what it is but it needs to be addressed. She is making that clinic look bad and I am very aware that she is not hired by the clinic . I know that her supervisor is in Orlando however if she's going to work in New seasons clinic she needs to act kind and understanding and patient and friendly to the patients at this clinic. I truly hope something is done about the way she treats people or she needs to find a different job because clearly she doesn't seem happy in this job. Itis my right to stand up for how I'm being treated and I can tell you there are many people having the same problems I am having with Erica Morris as well Something has to change and something has to give. Thank you and love and light to all...

Coming from a clinic that really was very hateful and they love to install uncertainty and fear . When I turn to N.Seasons clinic I was treated with such compassion and respect as if I am someone deserving of their care. It definitely gave me a feeling of humanity, and when I went to travel, Ashley move mountains for me and I will never forget her. I do say small prayer she will be my new counsel but she did not leave me , she allowed us open channel and she continued with confidence, it means so much! It s the people who make the clinic and I remain humble

As a recent transfer to this clinic from central Florida this place exceeded my expectations. Being a lifelong resident of Brevard and recently widowed I didn t know what I would be stepping into but I was treated with kindness and respect every step of the way. Always asked was there any questions any concerns. From the Director Tiffany to Dr. Bell I was pleased beyond words. Anyone suffering from addiction would do themselves a huge favor by getting treatment here.

New Seasons Treatment has got a great staff.. The counselors there are very helpful.. I look forward every morning to going and receiving my daily treatment! Thank you to the staff at New seasons for offering this service.. MAT is more important than most people know and it s nice to have professionals that can see through the stigma that can sometimes be Associated with treatment programs like Methadone treatment.. this is a life long process for those of us that are struggling with addiction and without programs like this most of us would not make it out here.. Thanks again..
