About Gratitude House

This inpatient environment is where you come to live in a structured and safe facility and have 24-hour medical supervision. You can expect a combination of therapy including cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and dialectical behavior therapy. Inpatient programs generally last 30 days, but Beachway has a long term 90 day program option.

The partial hospitalization program includes 20 hours per week of treatment. The intensive outpatient program includes about nine hours of treatment per week, while the outpatient program includes one to two hours of services. With these outpatient program options you can expect individual and group therapy, as well as neurotherapy.

I went to Beachway in the beginning of 2024 because I was dealing with terrible anxiety and panic attacks and their website looked so promising. I loved that it emphasized a holistic approach since I've tried so many medications and none of them worked, just gave me side effects or worsened my symptoms. I had a very high deductible of $20,000 and I was told that would be the only expense that I would receive. However, I got billed later on for labs for $1,400 and also a bill from them for staying in their intensive outpatient housing. When I tried to call to ask them about this because they were basic labs and shouldn't be that expensive, they won't answer the phone or call back. But they sure will answer right away if you're seeking help. Also, when I got to Beachway they had me talk to doctors who prescribed me medications. I really didn't want to take them given my history but I was desperate. The medications didn't help and once I got home I stopped taking them. I will say that their facility is beautiful and the food is amazing. I did love the therapists but it's not very personalized. It's about a 30-45 minute individual session once a week. It's a lot of group classes that start to get very repetitive the longer you're there for. The trauma program was the most helpful thing and I am really glad that I did that. Overall, I don't feel like it was worth the money that I spent FOR ME. I wish I would've found a good therapist near me and done more holistic approaches on my own. However, If you or a loved one is going there for drugs/alcohol/even certain mental health situations, I can definitely say it's worth the money. You can't put a price on saving a life. I just wish they would have been more upfront about how expensive it was going to be and hidden expenses. And the fact that they don't answer the phone about billing questions or call you back just makes it seem like they're greedy.

Making the decision to go to Beachway was, by far, the most positive and impactful experience of my life. The entire staff was incredible, as was the community as a whole. I felt safe, seen, and supported throughout my stay, and even now, as I continue my healing journey at home. I was completely set up for success in my healing journey thanks to Beachway, and I will forever be grateful.

My experience at Beachway was a 100/10. The life skills I learned are priceless and that’s putting it lightly. Beachway was the third treatment center I had been to, following the sudden loss of a loved one. I had prior sobriety before beachway and was convinced that I was only there because of a death, and that that was why I was spiraling. The staff at Beachway saw I needed much more help than that. They all knew before I did that if that death didn’t happen, I probably wouldn’t have stayed sober anyway. There was still much more therapy to be done, and more to learn. The staff took a genuine care in doing so, and looking back at their clinical process they are nothing short of a power house of a team. I never felt so cared for as a human being by people that just met me. The staff quickly became my family, cheering me on while also taking it extremely serious. They are unapologetically honest, which in my experience is the #1 thing needed in recovery. Many of the things they said to me during my time there still stick with me (a year later) and help me navigate life! I tell anyone that has a loved one with Substance abuse or mental health issues about beachway. There is no other place like it🤍

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Florida consists of individual therapy and group instruction. This structured program is a form of psychotherapy that incorporates the development of skills for managing emotions and relationships.

State Licenses are permits issued by government agencies that allow rehab organizations to conduct business legally within a certain geographical area. Typically, the kind of program a rehab facility offers, along with its physical location, determines which licenses are required to operate legally.

Beachway Therapy Center was a blessing for our family. My loved one went in during a really difficult time, and the care they received made all the difference. The therapists were attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in helping them heal. Communication with our family was consistent and compassionate, which helped us feel supported throughout the process. We’re incredibly grateful for the progress they’ve made and for the people at Beachway who treated them with dignity and respect. I would recommend Beachway to any family looking for real help and real change.

I came to Beachway from another rehab in Cincinnati, Ohio, and found something I didn’t even know was possible for someone like me. The campus is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, inspiring, and full of things to do. Whether it’s floating in the relaxing pool, playing volleyball with friends, taking the invigorating cold plunge, or enjoying a tension-relieving massage, there’s something for everyone. There are also plenty of quiet spaces for reading, reflection, and meditation. The staff is incredible—truly dedicated to helping clients dig deep and do the real work of recovery. The group sessions not only help uncover the roots of addictive behaviors but also create lasting bonds and friendships that become part of your support system. I especially appreciated the variety of opportunities to explore spirituality and build a relationship with a Higher Power—something that continues to strengthen my recovery every day. The therapists are knowledgeable, compassionate, and committed to helping both clients and their families develop a plan of accountability and ongoing support after treatment. I would highly recommend Beachway Therapy to anyone struggling with addiction or mental health challenges. It provided exactly the reset I needed after a major life change—leaving behind 23 years of teaching and starting over as a newly divorced mom. Beachway gave me hope, healing, and a fresh start
