This place is a waste of energy. My son went there for 10 years. Never got help just kept changing his meds. It made him messed up. That is why he joined a cult.

Accepted Insurance

Leyden Family Service And Mental Health Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs provide a full continuum of care for clients who are exiting inpatient treatment. Though outpatient care is often considered an element of drug rehab aftercare, services typically continue for the remainder of the clients' life and long after formal treatment is completed. Clients work with their case managers and care team to formulate a customized portfolio of medical, mental health, and social service resources designed to evolve as the client's needs change.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step programs focus on emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth as the foundation for long-term sobriety. They engage in regular 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round, in most communities. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring from a self-selected sponsor. Though the 12 steps of recovery are based on spiritual principles, religious affiliation isn't required. Specialized formats are available, including programs for seniors, teens, and families.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Known as the Transitional Living Program, this program helps previously psychiatrically hospitalized adult clients develop their potential for independent living. This is accomplished through goal-directed, individual and group counseling, aid in securing employment and living quarters, and instruction in cooking, cleaning and budgeting. Transitional apartments are utilized to help individuals adapt to better living and to help acclimate them into the larger community.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Addiction treatment often begins with 24-hour clinical care in Illinois. This supervised setting is the best environment for detox.where medical staff can provide 24/7 supervision and responsive care as your body is cleansed of addictive substances. Doctors may prescribe antagonist and partial agonist drugs to counteract the effects of drugs or alcohol, or they may slowly taper down dosages of substances to end physical dependence on the drug.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Illinois typically involves keeping a diary to track actions and emotions. Your therapist will use this diary to determine what to focus on during each session. In addition to individual sessions, you'll also attend group meetings where you are trained in coping skills.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. Individual Therapy is for people coping with depression, anxiety or loss; or those requiring help developing life enhancement skills.

Trauma therapy provides you with a safe and supportive environment so you can address a traumatic experience. Your therapist helps guide you to understand your emotional, mental, and physical responses while developing healthier coping skills. This helps to improve your emotional resilience and ability to function in the community.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person’s life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety. Couple Therapy is for persons facing problems of marital dissatisfaction or distress, including poor communication, conflict, and the evolving roles of men and women.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. Family Therapy is for persons facing issues that involve the entire family, such as parent/child relationships, school difficulties, and single- or step-parenting adjustments.

Intake coordinator said that they only have group therapy for people who hallucinate. A joke of a facility. Do not waste your time calling for anxiety services.

They treat me fairly well here, cannot complain. Through them i was able to get drug free for 3+ years, the longest i have ever been sober in my life, my therapist treats me well despite me being a bit of a weirdo, the psychiatrist is good, the living room staff takes care of me too. They helped me with transportation too. Helped me quit my soda addiction as well. Usually this clinic is booked out like 3 months in advance, the bad reviews come from folks who are not willing to make any changes so they come on here and complain that the staff are not miracle workers.I have worked with jenny, monica, and dr couch. Good people in my opinion, they have a hard job. At living room i worked with brian, mark and joanne, absolutely amazing people. If you want to get the best of the treatment i recommend your first goal be to become a good person and contribute to society somehow.

If you asked me two months ago I would have said great. Just made a major breakthrough with my current therapist. Unfortunately I lost health insurance last November and would pay a minimal fee each visit. Over the lockdown there were some billing discrepancies. I am self employed and once adjusted sent payment in advance to avoid no weekly annoyance calls over $5 co pay. When it comes to mental health to be dismissed over finances leaves me cold. Before the covid and my previous therapist moving on everything was cool. Meds working and feeling better. We are all struggling financially and mentally during this crisis but to be dismissed and referred elsewhere over a few dollars as being difficult deserves being mentioned. I'd expect better from mental health professionals and didn't get it here.
