About Lake Wellness Center – NOLA Detox Metairie

Less than 10 miles outside of New Orleans lies Lake Wellness Center – NOLA Detox in Metairie, Louisiana. This outpatient center serves adults battling addiction and co-occurring disorders. You’ll benefit from advanced clinical and medical approaches to reach your recovery goals.

Detox is often the first step in recovery for many. During this process, you’ll safely withdraw from substances under medical supervision. Whether you start your journey in detox or outpatient care, they support you in any recovery stage. You’ll benefit from a customized treatment plan with your needs at the forefront.

Their three-month intensive outpatient program offers four weekly day or evening classes. They pack these three-hour sessions with treatment best practices including group and individual therapy, educational workshops, optional medication assisted treatment and coping skills education. You can also access support groups, family therapy and healthcare referrals.

What stands out most to me is that they treat several types of co-occurring disorders. Many experience mental health and other conditions simultaneously with addiction. Along with mental health treatment you can access comprehensive care for eating disorders, gambling, internet addiction, gaming, shopping, sex addiction and more. They emphasize a whole-person approach, ensuring you tackle all challenges to reach sustained recovery.

Another wonderful feature is their convenient location. Just steps from New Orleans’s iconic music and culture, they instill these elements to engage you throughout your journey. You’ll benefit from learning more about this unique culture and gaining new ways to enjoy sober fun.

Lastly, I think their alumni groups are fantastic. You’ll benefit from ongoing support and encouragement in recovery. They provide peer support groups to stay connected with others on similar paths. That way you can foster beneficial relationships to keep you motivated and on the right path.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab gives clients a chance to focus on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment away from outside distractions, stressors, and addiction triggers. Clients reside at the treatment facility and engage in intensive psychotherapy, which may include individual, group, and family counseling.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients enrolled in rehab aftercare programs have completed high-level treatment and are typically in the maintenance phase of their recovery, receiving customized services designed to support their sustained sobriety. Case managers and care teams typically begin to plan for the client's rehab aftercare services early in the treatment process to ensure the client's fluid reentry into their home, workplace, and community. These programs evolve as clients' needs change, and frequently include peer coaching, relapse prevention, and career counseling.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The first step in the addiction recovery process involves flushing all addictive drugs and alcohol from your body while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, this level of care takes into account that quitting your drug of choice cold turkey can be very dangerous once you've become physically dependent. In a medical detox, your team of medical professionals helps to ensure your safety and comfort. Most people transition to an inpatient treatment or maintenance program upon completion.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

People gain great insight into the patterns of behaviors and the triggers that underlie addiction when they participate in group therapy sessions. Your peers will discuss their experiences and strategies they use to manage addictive behaviors, offering you a greater opportunity to learn coping skills that work.

Men and women in Louisiana who seek individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction treatment will receive therapy in a focused and supportive environment. Therapists customize interventions to your unique situation. This helps you understand the addictive process and develop coping strategies to help achieve and maintain sobriety.

The purpose of family therapy is to create a supportive and understanding dynamic between family members. Therapists assist families in identifying and changing negative, harmful patterns while improving open and honest communication. This provides a stable foundation for the recovery journey.

There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

Lake Wellness has been a great experience for me from the curriculum, to the counselors, and that extends to the staff who works for us. They are so very humble and down to earth, they re always extending their hands at being helpful. Most of the staff is in recovery so they know what we are looking for and understand us. If you need help to get your addiction under wraps, I highly suggest Lake Wellness Recovery Solutions.

This facility was a real game changer for me. My group facilitator Bruce was engaging, caring and available. The outpatient therapy helped to move me towards my goals, I enjoyed the company of other people in similar trajectories of sobriety and I have already benefitted from being able to share with them. I learned so much about the science behind addiction. This is a stellar program!
