About Integral Care

Located in east Austin, Texas, the Oak Spring Treatment Center is a drug rehab facility for adults living with mental illness. They provide intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) to help clients with a co-occuring mental illness recover from drug and alcohol use.

IOP at Oak Spring Treatment Center allows clients to live at home while receiving a high-level of care and support. Programs run from Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm.

Treatment plans generally include pharmacy and medication support, individual counseling, and exercise and nutrition programs. On site staff provide one-on-one emotional support, life skills training, case management and access to support groups.

After their IOP, clients will be connected to other Integral Care programs and local resources. This will help clients continue to succeed in their sobriety and get ongoing care and recovery support.

Integral Care is accredited by The Joint Commission and is a Texas Certified Community Behavioural Health Clinic.

Integral Care accepts many forms of payment including a sliding fee scale, payment plans and can provide help for clients who cannot pay. They accept most insurance providers such as Aetna, HCSC, ComPsych, TRICARE and more. Contact your insurance provider to verify coverage as out of network benefits may vary.

This location off of Airport Blvd is amazing. I stayed at The Inn for a week with some concerning mental health issues I've never experienced before. The entire staff, from the monitors to the nurses and medication staff, I mean literally, everyone made my time there comfortable and got me all the help I needed. They always had answers for me on anything I had concerns with. One person in particular named Marc Bickgen has shown the most of anyone. He has helped me and taught me so much. He comes to my location for counseling since my wife is using our truck for work. He is always on time, and never once has he looked at the clock to try and run out the door. We have had two sessions at my apartment, so his knowledge and leadership with me in my time of need has been an absolute blessing. I've never been shown the respect or had any counselor take the time to show what it means to have a non judgemental, non biased, no opinion, and provide more tools than I have ever known I possessed to help me.The Inn and Integral Care have been a life changing experience for me, and for the first time in years, I am hopeful with the future. Thanks again to Marc B. and the rest of the staff at the Airport Blvd location.

Accepted Insurance

Integral Care works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Residents of a sober living home in Texas reside at the halfway house with others who have agreed to abstain from substances and practice sober-living skills. The relationships and accountability formed here can help individuals strengthen their mental health and achieve long-term recovery. Residents share common spaces such as kitchens and back yards, share meals together, and share household responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Peer support is an important aspect of group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction. As you and your peers share stories and encourage each other, it fosters a sense of community and belonging that helps you process your feelings and reduces the sense of isolation that is associated with addiction.

Individual therapy offers you a confidential space to address the complexities of your drug or alcohol addiction. Your therapist guides these personalized sessions to help develop self awareness and manage stress. This promotes sustained sobriety and overall well being.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy

Therapy sessions that incorporate motivational interviewing focus on OARS: open questions, affirmation, reflections, and summarizing. This facilitates an exchange of information and an empowering of the client to decide for themselves what changes might need to be made in their lives.

Well below par on proper mental health care. Asked for a simple note for WPATH since I've only ever dealt with integral care since 2013. They refused a very simple letter. They cannot prescribe proper medications for patients, their idea of "meetings" are basically a best friend style setting not a very professional outlook. I've been with them 12 years. All that managed to come of it was forced medications, forced hospitalization and way more stress then before I started with them.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST going to them. They'll take your money for below par services.

I took my husband there for assistance of getting help with alcohol addiction. They referred him to the Georgetown Behavior Health Hospital. Someone that works there beat him up. Had him transported to the hospital. Where he had some broken ribs. And then he was released to the streets. He isn't mentally or physically able to care for himself and now me and his family have no clue where he is.

This crisis intervention team is absolutely useless, and it honestly breaks my heart. I had a family member in a mental health crisis, and we called Integral Care Crisis Intervention--and waited for 10 minutes to talk to personnel before being automatically hung up on without warning. He is now missing and is in extreme danger (mental health police have also been no help and have been extremely indifferent--no surprise there). We've had past dealings with integral care before, who we only found out were supposed to be doing in-person house visits and in-dept care plans TWO YEARS after being assigned a case worker--who DID NONE OF THOSE THINGS AND BARELY CONTACTED US AT ALL. I am (somewhat) shocked and very ashamed that the City of Austin has this level of detachment and indifference within its mental healthcare system and public welfare policies. Community care and crisis intervention in Austin need to be re-evaluated and reformed NOW. As the way it stands now, the programs in place are a shell and do not meaningfully impact highly vulnerable individuals. They only 'deal' with cases that are easy. And it's disgusting.

My thorough and articulate review was deleted. What does that tell you? This place is bad news. I'm going to find another platform to make sure this facility is exposed for the atrocity that it is. Go to Austin Lakes if you can for emergency care. Unfortunately, you'll be sent here in the end regardless. My heart goes out to you. Do not give up.
