Dr Fatoki has taken care of me for more than 10 years and anyone who complains about the place, well that's on them. There are rules as is anywhere.....sure front office has had turmoil, but they have always been nice. Well with the exception of the Doctors ex wife. That woman....oh boy. Now Dee, that's my girl. Always makes me smile when I see her. I wasn't thrilled with the Ottawa clinic, they were very rude the one time I went. Glad I don't have to go there anymore! But I love Ring rd. I'd give them 20 stars if I could!

The doctor is incredible and he'll never turn his back on patients, like I have experienced in years past. Yes, the front office has had some turmoil and turnover (expect to wait at least an hour after appointed time...overbooking or doc gets calls from local jails, etc. seeking his advice and it can cause delays...but it's MUCH better than it was years ago). Put it this way, I accept the extra waiting time, long drive from Normal, IL, and other potential inconveniences because I know a doctor who cares when I see one! I am a big fan of Dr. Fatoki and he is a true public servant.

I'm happy I went and visited the clinic and they addressed my issue very well and in good time and Dr Adeyemi was of great help when i consulted his service. Ms Tolu was always updating me incase my appointment had some changes and it was kind of her. I recommend the clinic to anyone seeking medical attention to visit here.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Accreditations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established in 1992 by congress, SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on American's communities.

I see a lot of one star reviews, and I have no idea how.. never have I EVER been to a Drs office that genuinely CARES about their patients. Not once have I left a message; without getting a call back. Not once have I asked to be seen; and didn t get in right away. I ve been going here for a couple years now, and have been treated with the utmost empathy and respect. This entire office staff, goes above and beyond for their patients.

Horrible place, they couldn t find my friends vein! Poked her 4 times not including all the wiggle long the needle around trying to find her vein then proceeded to poke her hand and MISSED again! 2 people tried and they both failed claiming it was because they couldn t see it when other places have never had issues drawing blood from her.

Worst mistake of my life starting methadone at this clinic. They don't care about you, just want your money. I've been sober for almost a year and it's no thanks to Great Heights Family Medicine. If anything they've made this process harder than if I was to just get through the opiate withdrawals on my own. Methadone is more for stability. Don't start it unless you're 200% sure it's what you need and can committ to it or you're setting yourself up to fail (wish someone would've told me that before I started). Make sure if you decide to come here that you have good support outside, cause you'll need it and you won't get any empathy from any of their staff members. I would never recommend this clinic for addiction treatment.
