About Gaudenzia Coatesville Outpatient

Gaudenzia is located in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Gaudenzia addresses the needs of chemically dependent adults and provides specialized programs to meet the varied needs of the community. Gaudenzia provides aftercare and continuing care services for those individuals who have completed an inpatient rehabilitation program.

This is an intensive version of day treatment. Compared to the traditional outpatient program, the Intensive outpatient program (IOP) meets more often, for longer sessions, or both. Services offered include individual counseling, group counseling, and assessment services. There are also specialized treatment programs for pregnant and parenting women, adolescent groups, and Spanish language groups.

The outpatient program is the most flexible form of treatment in terms of scheduling. Clients may enter into outpatient care directly or transition following completion of IOP.

MAT combines prescription medication with outpatient services to help reduce a client’s symptoms, making them more comfortable and better able to focus.

Clients with a dual diagnosis (both substance use disorder and an additional behavioral health diagnosis) can experience higher risks of relapse. Specialized treatment reduces this risk by addressing the symptoms of both conditions in treatment.

Gaudenzia doesn’t list its accepted insurance plans, though treatment programs commonly work with major insurance plans (like Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, TRICARE, and Magellan). Clients should confirm coverage with their carrier, as out of network benefits may vary.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Gaudenzia Outpatient provides aftercare and continuing care services for those individuals who have completed an inpatient rehabilitation program. Once the individual returns to the community, intensive outpatient programming becomes an integral part of the continuing care plan.

inpatient iconInpatient

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Residents of a sober living home in Pennsylvania pay rent and contribute to household maintenance. For their contributions, individuals get the opportunity to live in a substance-free environment and receive support from others in recovery while all residents practice sober-living skills. Sober living expenses are not covered by insurance since they are not treatment services. However, grants and scholarships are often available to help individuals afford rent for men's or women's sober living.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

Because the severity of withdrawal symptoms can fluctuate, constant monitoring under 24-hour clinical care in Pennsylvania is recommended for early recovery. As you undergo detox, medical staff will supervise your health and ensure severe symptoms do not develop or threaten your life. Professional counselors will also be available to treat mental and emotional health needs.

Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. It's a shame that when your trying to turn your life around the counselors that are in place to help you do the opposite. I recently started a new job and communicated that about 4-5 days prior to me starting my job. I asked were there evening groups I could attend because the groups were helpful however I wouldn't be able to attend morning groups. After 5-6 unanswered emails I received notice that these same people were contacting my Probation officer as well as my case worker making it like I just wasn't being compliant, which wasn't the case. I am now searching for help elsewhere due to the unprofessional experience I've had. I hope others get a better experience.

Had an appointment by phone and was rudely told that it was switched to in person. When I called to find out why I hadn't received a call I was rudely handled by Desiree the director of the program. She then told me if I wanted to complain to Google the HR number to complain... AND GUESS WHAT DESIREE.... I DID JUST THAT .. I WILL POST AFTER THEY SPEAK WITH HER OFFICE. YOU CAN'T TREAT US ALL LIKE WE STILL USING DRUGS SOME OF US WERE EDUCATED DURING OUR USAGE SO WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO FOLLOW UP AND HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE!!!!!!!!!!

This pace is horrible... The staff when my wife and I were clients about 2 years ago was very unprofessional...The Counselors couldn't run a meeting to save their life... Sherri, Tom and especially Meg, who has no personal addiction experience, were not qualified to guide a guide dog , much less a recovering addict...if you are serious about your recovery go somewhere else.

One of the counselors Shannon was doing well with my husband. He worked with him for over a year and then out of the blue made a 360 and was not understanding anything he had to say. My husband was unable to attend one meeting due to work. He could not leave without another person coming to relieve him. He called his counselor, he didn't pick up and he left a message. He didn't get a call back. Another week the weather was horrible and traffic was backed up. He called his counselor again and left a message that he'd be running a couple of minutes late. Guess what the counselor did??? He told him he had to start over a year worth of work because he was not showing up and he was coming in late!!! All these factors that made my husband late and not able to show up for only two sessions were beyond his control. And then people wonder how people stay in this cycle and relapse, it's because of the counselors. I swear they try to keep people in their programs. It was a demotivation factor for my husband. He really wanted to quit. Because how could a person base unforeseen circumstances on a year worth of work???? I truly was infuriated by the conduct of this counselor. I hope he does not do the same to a person who doesn't have a support system to help him through. I'm sure if my husband had no one he would have given up and who knows what kind of trouble that would get him just because of one person who doesn't take people's circumstances into consideration.
