I was in the ER last night. From the minute I walked in there everyone was excellent! They took the best of care of me, that I ever had. When I got to the room in the back of the ER, the two doctors were thorough. Excellent kind did all kinds of test on me. The nurses were excellent and they found out What was wrong with me. I had about five different symptoms that were serious. They did test bloodwork and they found out. 3E Ortho, A heartfelt thank you to Nurses Johnson and Lauren. You are both true assets to the nursing profession, and the care and compassion you showed my mother were deeply appreciated. The rest of the staff was wonderful as well, with one exception. Irene, I believe additional sensitivity training and a stronger understanding of EPIC workflow would be beneficial, particularly regarding medication delays not due to pharmacy processes. I also want to sincerely thank the charge nurse (a blonde woman, possibly in her 50s ,unfortunately I did not catch her name) for going above and beyond to help optimize my mother’s pain management. Your extra effort made a meaningful difference in her care and recovery. Thank you again to the team for caring for my mother during her stay.

I cant even put into words the love that I have for the Staff here. Candace, Matt&Matt and the countless others that became a huge part of my life to this day four years ago. I owe these people my life for showing me that there is a way to live a Beautiful life substance free. My kids have a father because of these amazing people, which makes this that much harder to see what has happened to them. Toms River recovery doesnt exist without the staff of The Counseling Center. The amount of people they have helped surpasses anything I've ever seen in the recovery world in this state.They go above and beyond for their patients and im alive today because of them. I'm shocked an appalled to here about the staff no longer being employed there. Like I said this is the main center hub of the recovery network in Toms River without Candace Matt&Matt and their team the amount of lives that will be effected is insurmountable. Prayers going out to all this is going to effect and all I can do is hope they will be back!

If I could give this one Star or actually -1,000,000 stars I would I've been given nothing but misinformation since day one at this place from Jake. I was told that it wasn't an issue. They were ordering mouse wads as far as drug testing goes then I find out weeks later, but that's not going to be allowed and I can get a doctors note and they may or may not honor it. Then I was told the groups were 6-9 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. I had inquired about afternoon groups as that's really late at night, I was told that Tuesday morning there was an afternoon group and there was an instrument in Friday morning group. Oh well again Jake gave me misinformation because he didn't even bother to look in my files to know that I was at level IOP not OP therefore I wouldn't be able to do the Tuesday morning or Friday afternoon. Intermittent Group, and also not telling me that Monday night was also an option as well as Friday nights being an option. Edit to update my review. Although there was weeks of misinformation given by Jake, I decided to just ask to speak with someone else I've been in contact with Carissa and she has been extremely kind and has been very helpful into getting this process started. Thank you Carissa Edit again: all though getting enrolled wasn't the most ideal process I can say the groups are really great and the counselors are all so kind. Dana has such a huge heart as do they all and they do all truly care about the clients. Thank you so much it means a lot to know how much the staff truly cares about what they do

I was seeking treatment in April 2026, and HighFocus accepted me into their program. Their treatment was amazing, and specifically my councilor at the time, Taylor Zazulka, was extremely helpful, supportive, and crucial to helping me find continuing treatment after PHP/IOP. I highly recommend Freehold HighFocus treatment center to anyone struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or just looking for a higher level of treatment solely therapy does not provide.

I went to this place back in 2024, and this place was awesome. We got to do a bunch of therapeutic activities that were so helpful, and the staff were also really kind, friendly, and understanding. This place is amazing for someone struggling with a mental illness, at the time, I had depression, and this Mental Health Service helped me a lot. If I do have anything going on with life, this is the place I would go to.

My experience here has been great, so far! The staff has been friendly and helpful. They provide both in person and telehealth calls. My Dr actually listens and provides feedback, remembers and takes interest in things we've talked about prior, and follows up on them. It feels like he genuinely cares. I truly thank him for that! Before him at stress care, I was disrespected if I talked, had Drs not even look up at me or hear anything from me, just tried pushing medications that only made things alot worse! The social worker has been nothing but great! She is very nice, caring, and always willing to go above and beyond for her clients. I have felt better since starting, and no longer dread having to talk to a doctor. I can only speak to my experience with the staff, my Dr I've been had since starting, and my social worker stress cares provides to help you, even if just for a ride.

I have been with StressCare on/off since 2020 in various capacities. Currently I have a weekly telehealth talk therapy with Brett, biweekly med management with psychiatrist Dr Miraj (Somerset office) and weekly visits with my Case Manager Michael Roman. I’m extremely grateful to have the mental health team that I have. Michael has been extremely supportive & helpful concerning my therapist & psychiatric appointments. Furthermore, he actively takes me to get my needs met concerning food, medication, and transportation. I highly recommend StressCare BHH & their therapist’s & psychiatrists for excellent mental health care.

I'm not a first time winner at recovery but every time l've felt like I needed a little structure in my life to give me the extra boost I needed to get me back on track I've enrolled at GenPsych and l've never had a bad experience. Everyone that works here will go to the end of the earth to help you from the administrative staff such as Michelle all the way to the therapists including my personal therapist at the facility named Ande. Ande has been a tremendous help to me since day one and has helped me with getting out of my own way and has aided me on my path of recovery and self discovery. They focus on multiple areas of mental health whether it's substance abuse or just depression/anxiety. They also provide transportation depending how close you are to the facility. Overall I think it's a great program that almost anyone can benefit from.

I went to bright harbor healthcare for years for my daughter ( I go there for myself also and I love my therapist) however her experience was sub par and I have some HUGE reservations with her last therapist especially because she tried to talk my daughter into taking HRT behind my my back which she didn’t even want them. I took them out and switched her to preferred and now she sees Megan and WOW she is doing so much better she’s so much more communicative and open her behavior has drastically changed and I feel like I’ve got my child back. I recommend them to anyone that sees that their child is going through a rough time. I even put my seven year old in therapy there for aggressive behavior issues I was convinced she had ODD but a few months of seeing Alex and she is a different person no more freak outs I owe this place the world HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I've been bringing my dad here for the last three years and everyone couldn't be nicer! Audio dept. is great. Front desk, friendly and answered all our questions. Not sure why some negative reviews were given, but I noticed it many were during Covid. Perhaps they were short on staff.

This is the third company I've used. The 1st 2 were awful - if anything, they worsened my situation. This place is exactly what I needed. Everyone is easy to get a hold of and they do what they're supposed to do - help. Christen at the front desk is great - she takes care of a lot by herself. If she's unable to help, she let's my counselor know ASAP. That brings me to her - Christy. She literally fixed an entire (bad) situation for me. Simply amazing. Thanks!

I want to begin by saying my counselor Julia , Julia is very attentive and gives full focus on what needs to be focused on . Julia makes it feel more like a friendly environment more than your average text book counseling which I find very comforting. I have been to treatment several times throughout my lifetime and for the first time I feel like I’m actually doing something with my recovery. I actually look forward of going and having my sessions with Julia . You can actually feel the attention Julia gives she caring and pays close attention on whatever you need help with . My sessions with Julia do not feel like I’m sitting with someone listening to my issues for a paycheck you get that sense of talking to someone really does care. Take it from a 42 year old that has been in many rooms and always feeling a sense of not belonging. I’m glad this time around I met Julia as my counselor and I really couldn’t be more grateful to have her treating my issues I never thought feeling so good about counseling existed. I couldn’t be any happier with the treatment with Julia. It actually feels like I’m talking with a friend that I’ve known forever.

To validate this statement. I will say in the 19 years I have been involved with mental health facilities, addiction, treatment centers, and state psychiatric services. At times being employed by and other times as a patient. By far the counselors that break their tail every day for their patience to have a positive outcome and fair shot at a good life. Is second to none. In tandem with their psychiatric services and on the ball medication treatments. The only response in what they do for their patients, Is first class, five stars all around every time. I can only speak for myself, but I had to make a commitment to their recommendations, accept the truth about what got me there, stop making excuses sound like reasons and put in sincere work. If you’re fortunate enough to work with Steve H.
