All staff, nurses, mha's etc were awesome in helping me with my condition, the only negative things were more communication needs to be done for your loved ones at home that are not sure how you actually are and what your treatment plans are. Also some of the security officers at the front desk are rude and abrasive to family members trying to bring needed supplies as they're not sure what to do or where to go. Lastly when things are brought in to security it shouldn't take a full day to get it to you. The staff who cared for me in Short Term Care were all phenomenal, but Kelly and Jakob(sp?) stood out in particular. I came in to the facility with a horrible attitude after spending a terrible night at Community, and they turned me around. And the food was good! I was told that it wasn't an issue. They were ordering mouse wads as far as drug testing goes then I find out weeks later, but that's not going to be allowed and I can get a doctors note and they may or may not honor it. Then I was told the groups were 6-9 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. I had inquired about afternoon groups as that's really late at night, I was told that Tuesday morning there was an afternoon group and there was an instrument in Friday morning group. Oh well again Jake gave me misinformation because he didn't even bother to look in my files to know that I was at level IOP not OP therefore I wouldn't be able to do the Tuesday morning or Friday afternoon. Intermittent Group, and also not telling me that Monday night was also an option as well as Friday nights being an option. Edit to update my review. Although there was weeks of misinformation given by Jake, I decided to just ask to speak with someone else I've been in contact with Carissa and she has been extremely kind and has been very helpful into getting this process started. Thank you Carissa Edit again: all though getting enrolled wasn't the most ideal process I can say the groups are really great and the counselors are all so kind. Dana has such a huge heart as do they all and they do all truly care about the clients. He was in consistent contact with me on our concerns, listened not only to my son but me as a mom and my other son as a brother and took all of our concerns and feedback into his sessions with my son. Earvin, Chris, and Brian each brought their own personalities and approaches to group therapy. Earvin's groups, in particular, were more emotionally challenging and encouraged deeper self-reflection. His groups often brought difficult or important subjects to the surface and encouraged participants to look honestly at themselves and the areas they wanted to work on. Chris brought a somewhat more lighthearted approach to his groups, which I appreciated. After spending a long day discussing difficult and emotional topics, having a group that allowed people to relax while still learning and participating was a welcome balance. Brian also brought his own perspective and approach to group therapy, contributing to the overall variety of the program. Having different facilitators and different styles was beneficial because not every person responds to therapy and group discussions in the same way. I appreciated having opportunities for both deeper emotional work and lighter, more approachable discussions. I want to be fair and transparent about this particular section because I did not personally work with Caitlyn as my clinician. My direct interactions with her were very limited, so I cannot speak to what it is like to have her as a primary clinician based solely on my own experience. Several clients expressed that they felt dismissed, talked down to, or uncomfortable during their interactions with her. Again, these are their experiences rather than something I can personally verify, and I don't want to present their accounts as established facts. However, I think it is worth mentioning because clients in a mental health facility are often in an especially vulnerable position, and the way they are spoken to can have a significant impact on how safe and respected they feel. He literally saved my life. After reviewing my EKG and blood work prior to a nuclear stress test Dr. Wyche acted extremely quickly and determined I was having a massive heart attack. What makes his actions even more remarkable is that I was experiencing no pain and didn’t feel anything was wrong. I later learned that my LAD Artery, commonly known as “widow maker” was 99% blocked. While everything was happening so quickly, Dr. Wyche took the time to reassure my daughter that he was going to take care of me. He immediately arranged for Dr. Patel to perform the procedure, and two stents were placed to restore blood flow. Dr. Wyche’s quick thinking, knowledge and decisive actions and compassion made an incredible difference. I will always be grateful to him for recognizing what was happening and acting so quickly.
