I would have given them 5 stars. My experience while in treatment was amazing. The only problem is that when I left they didn't give me a certificate even though I completed the program successfully. Now I'm trying to get a warrant quashed and have been attempting to get SOMEONE ANYONE on the phone. Leaving messages and email for over 3 weeks with zero response. I just need them to email a copy of my certificate so I don't have to worry about this warrant but they don't seem to know what a phone is.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs support clients' successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Drug rehab aftercare presumes that recovery requires life-long support. These programs typically offer a wide variety of services customized for the clients' unique and evolving needs. Clients may receive vocational training and career counseling, housing assistance, legal aid, peer coaching, and 12 step program induction, among other services. Clients' case managers often play a lead role in rehab aftercare planning.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex & Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA). Desert Cove Recovery, their treatment programs are holistic and blend the traditional 12-Step model with several cutting-edge treatment modalities including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical motivation interviewing and trauma resolution.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body is done under the care of licensed medical professionals. Known as medically assisted detox, this level of care is typically in an inpatient setting with a team of medical experts that may include doctors, nurses, and mental health clinicians. Medications like Suboxone, methadone, or Vivitrol may be administered to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Arizona focuses on acceptance of your reality and behaviors while also attempting to make changes in unhealthy behaviors. It has been shown to be effective for the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorder.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

The experience I have had at SRC has been a compassionate experience. All staff from facilitators, Therapists, peer support and BHT s have been available and it s obvious they want to help in any way they can. Previous to my relapse that landed me here in SRC I worked in treatment, and that s place was nothing like SRC. It was AA based where as SRC promotes all recovery paths like dharma smart celebrate and many others. They also offer an additional program called 33 degrees in which there is additional information like stoicism and they have many books on recovery, life and philosophy that you can check out and read. 33 degrees is ran by Eric, Brent, and Amanda, and they each have a small group of clients they mentor, and help you with routine and areas you may be struggling so when you are ready to transition into the world you have more tools to succeed. You can also continue to attend 33 degrees even after graduation from SRC. I would recommend the entire experience at SRC for anyone who is desiring a change of Life.

One more thing I remember about my 4 month stay at DCR, one day my therapist who was actually just a counselor came and pulled me out of group rock painting or something for assistance with a returning patient. I had experience with the drugs he was coming off of and he could hardly keep his eyes open. So she sat me down with him in the lounge area and had me do this guys intake paper work on a laptop for him. Dude needed to be in detox and I was tasked with helping him sign his intake papers. That sounds kinda shady in hindsight.

This is the most comfortable and best detox/residential center I have been too hands down. The staff genuinely cares and will help guide you with each step of your journey. It s what you make of it, if you are ready to put in the work you will be successful.

Let me start by saying, I have been to treatment 30+ times in several states, all over the country. I am only saying that because I want to qualify what i have to say. I am a recovering addict and alcoholic, and when I was at one of my darkest moments, and needed help, Desert Cove was there. The program stands up with many of the other greats that I have been too. Great councilors, educational groups and lots of good processing. The staff is amazing, they are willing to develop a true relationship and connection with each individual, making you more than a client, you become a friend and peer. The houses are good (but that does not mean anything!) This is not a bougie treatment, it s down to earth and really created a sense of community and family. There is a big focus on recovery and a 12 step basis, as well as other options like harm reduction, spiritual paths, and more education. But unlike some of the other programs that I have gone to, at desert cove, the choice is up to you to do the work and create your experience. That is not a criticism at all, in fact for me that is a great compliment. If you desire recovery, you will find it here. If you are looking for community and friends that understand, you will get it here. If you are looking to change your habits, get into a program and develop a new life, you can do that here. But they will not hold you down, and they will not force your children or partner to want or achieve anything they are unwilling or won t do. That s what makes this place special to me. I have to give a quick shoutout, Tyler who s a director there saved my life, and every day he continues to impact and lengthen the line of men and women who will breath another day and find another way of life. If you need anything, he can and will help you. Take my word as a junkie who has found a new way of life, and is sober happy healthy and clean, Desert Cove is the real deal, and the people here will love and take care of you, until you can yourself. Just for today <3
