Denver Inner City Parish

I have been a member and volunteer with Denver Inner City Parish for going on two years now, and being part of this mission has been a tremendous blessing in my life. It is truly a wonderful opportunity to give back to a resilient community that continually holds its own. ​Extolling the vital principle of "waste not, want not," DICP does incredible work ensuring that excess food from local grocers is diverted away from landfills and placed directly into the hands of those who need it most. Their network of outreach is impressive: they partner closely with Mutual Aid and other regional charities to distribute life-sustaining resources to people facing acute hardship. Beyond regional coordination, they keep essential programs moving daily through their dedicated food trucks and an organized, grocery-style market of free goods at their central location that restores dignity to food assistance. ​The staff and leaders here are absolute angels, pouring genuine heart and tireless energy into uplifting our neighbors every single day. Denver Inner City Parish is beyond wonderful for everything they accomplish collectively across our community. Thank you for being such a reliable, compassionate beacon of support!

I wandered in for my first time without an appointment. I had to go through the registration process and was able to shop and received a heavenly hall of all sorts of food and produce. I was so overwhelmed I accidentally left my backpack behind. Was able to retrieve my possessions with no trouble and with the grace of those who genuinely care about those they're providing services to.
