A close friend of mine went to inpatient rehab in California and then went to Crescent Moon Recovery for PHP IOP. Since going to CMR and moving to Orange County I have seen her become a completely different person. She s tried getting sober before and other places just weren t getting the results we were hoping for. She has been able to repair relationships with her family and I finally have my friend back! I highly recommend CMR for anyone struggling with addiction and mental health because I think the therapy and work they do is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you CMR for everything you ve done for her and for us!

Not only does this place provide a safe environment for processing the things that led to addiction, but they provide resources to rediscover yourself and build a foundation for a beautiful new life. We do different outings focused on self-care and they re constantly taking on new clients that need the help they deserve. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone suffering from addiction of any kind. The staff is wonderful and caring and warm. I m a shy person but they helped me overcome that. The houses are beautiful and they re literally there for you no matter what you need. Need a gym membership? Done. Need groceries? Done. Need a friend to talk to? Done. I can t say enough good things about Cmr. I m constantly on the lookout for friends to refer here because their system works, take it from a hopeless drug addict who s been through treatment 3 times prior.

Accepted Insurance

Crescent Moon Recovery works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Levels of Care

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

The goal of couples therapy in California is to strengthen the couple's relationship. The therapist may take one or more approaches to counseling which may include the Gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic couple's therapy.

Family therapy offers a platform for members to have an open dialogue about the challenges that addiction has placed on the family unit. Through guided sessions, therapists can help families develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues. By working together toward a common goal, they help to support their loved one's sobriety.

There are too many good things to say about Cresent Moon Recovery. My treatment experience with them radically changed my life. They are meticulous and passionate about the care they provide. Each staff member is caring and considerate, and willing to go above and beyond for their clients. They provided me with a safe and supportive environment, productive and challenging groups and excellent trauma informed therapy. I always felt like I could be honest with the staff and lean on them for support and guidance. Crescent Moon taught me how to cope with life, stay sober and thrive. I am grateful all the time for their genuine and thoughtful care. Going to treatment is scary CMR welcomed me into their program and walked with me through all the ups and downs. It was the relief of a lifetime for me to land at Crescent Moon and know that I was safe to begin the hard work of recovery. This is a treatment center that really cares, doesn't cut corners, and wants their clients to succeed. I can't recommend CMR enough!

This is a good recovery center, they don t just teach you how to stay sober but help to dig into the reasons you use in the first place. The staff and facilitators are top notch. Go here if you want to get and maintain long term sobriety from drugs and alcohol.
