Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I made the mistake of paying Ted, the proprietor and soul employee of creative change, for a State mandated substance abuse evaluation after being charged with possession of paraphernalia (cannabis pipe), my first offense. His evaluation was short and to the point; anyone who uses cannabis as little as one time in a period of high stress has a substance abuse problem and needs 14 weeks of out patient 'rehabilitation', i.e. fourteen group meetings and a tidy sum of $420.00 for Ted himself. Ted didn't waste any time searching for any indications of an actual drug problem (chronic unemployment, family troubles, a pattern of run ins with the law, etc.) and the whole process took about 3 minutes of 'face time' with good old Ted. At best, Ted is woefully under qualified to evaluate substance abuse in anyone and seems ignorant of the most fundamental concepts of his chosen field. At worst he is a parasitic criminal preying upon people who have like wise been victimized by the State and forced, under duress, to run the gauntlet of probationers and 'therapist' who are not concerned at all with benefiting individuals or our society at large but only in filtering people, like cattle, through a system that seems wholly designed to separate these unfortunate individuals from their hard earned money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
