Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Our Policy: Connections Community Support Programs works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact us to verify your specific insurance provider.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

This place was nice, all the workers were nice except Saundra the "psychiatrist". This (I can't even write down all the insults I have against this woman because I would probably get in big trouble) so-called "psychiatrist" would devaluate my traumas and put me on antipsychotics that literally ruined my life (now I have permanent movement disorders and impulse control problems). She would accuse me of being schizophrenic and bipolar plus she disrespected not only me but also my mother multiple times. She also told me all these threats just because I stopped taking medications that were giving me horrible side effects. She even prescribed me benzodiazepines despite my substance abuse history.

You get what you put into your recovery!! If you've read some of these negative reviews you'd see the common theme is NOT THIS PLACE, it's ADULTS CHOOSING TO BLAME OTHERS INSTEAD OF TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE THEIR OWN CHOICES AND CURRENT STATE IN LIFE!! Not every place nor person will be your fit but it's up to YOU to establish that right fit for YOUR needs!! If you want the help it's there. Don't fit with who your given REQUEST A SWITCH or BE PRODUCTIVE IN YOUR RECOVERY AND FIND ONE IT IS THAT SIMPLE!! The workers here DO NOT DISCRIMINATE NOR RACIALLY PROFILE, THEY DO NOT BABY YOU NOR SUGARCOAT YOUR ADDICTION, WHERE YOU HAVE PUT YOURSELF IN YOUR OWN SITUATION/LIFE, AND WHAT YOU GIVE IS WHAT YOU GET!! I have had no problems with the staff in Smyrna nor Newark only have been given the truth about myself.!! YOU TAKE YOU WHEREVER YOU GO AND IF YOU WANT TO REALLY GET HELP THAT IS WHERE IT STARTS AND ENDS WITH YOU!!

I am leaving this review here because Coras does not allow for reviews. I started here 10 months ago and had one dirty urine and that was upon intake.I should have several bottles by now but they continue to put unreasonable expectations. On clients who work 40 hours a week and have three children and are a single parent. They expect me to do 3-4 hours of counseling when the counselors they have had to have an 80 person caseload and can t even see you for 15 minutes without being interrupted five times. It s just not feasible. ! I ve done everything I m supposed to

I have been in the mud for some time now I've been thu the process and have scene so oh so many so called counselors some court ordered others by choice.( not just limited to counselor but any of the person's tied to "The process," and or program..I have been raked over coals and have been mislead. Truthfully I was young and didn't realize it was about the money, insurance billing.... statistics..... Not to say all others or most truly are there to help.... I couldn't tell... I painfully have to admit they are very well not worth the air they breath.... I hope they have changed or some way some how have God forsaken made a change in someone lives that was useful......all that above mentioned for this..)to appreciate a very special and wonderful counselor..Sonya... Never and I mean never have I personally had the opportunity given to me now to be her client..... It's a blessing and to truly see someone who has perfected there craft or profession to the point that she has....In this game it's so hard to connect on a equal playing field and to see some one who truly cares and I mean this counselor will walk thu hell and lead you out just follow her lead....If you have the blessing and it is to be her client your gonna get what you put in... Nothing more nor less and I promise you that.. if only the world really knew what I know you would go crawling to her feet begging to be her client.....

I just tried to call the office 6x now to get hold of my therapist or my medication doctor and the same RUDE woman doesn't know how to answer a phone professionally.... probably the same KARIMA that sent crisis to my house claiming I was in danger... she doesn't know how to speak to anyone who has anxiety or other issues... I don't understand why she has a job like that when others such as myself are better qualified for the job... RACHEL was there for the 6 years I've been coming to this place and she did a wonderful job..pleasescreenthese pand also moniter their behavioras to speakingto patientsrudelyand in dusgust its notacceptable. .

It's all about following the rules and keeping your cool. All of the negative reviews talking about not caring about anything but money... they are most likely not following the guidelines and rules for the program. If you cuss out the nursing staff because you're I withdrawal, don't expect great service. Do the program as your supposed to -- and you won't have any problems. I've had two counselors over 5 years. Haven't touched an opiate, but rely on this service. I feel safe here. Yes, improvements are needed. More counselors, less stringent cannabis rules like most clinics would improve my experience. Anyway, thumbs up. Saved my life.

Every employee seems to just quit there and they have left 3 of my family members with no therapist, and without someone to handle their meds. They never return messages or call you back when they say they will, and it's very unprofessional to call the nurse only to hear that their voicemail box is full and you can't leave a message.
