About Community Residential Treatment Counseling

Community Residential Treatment, also known as CRT Counseling, provides drug, alcohol, and mental health treatment for those in the Dallas, Texas, area. They are an outpatient facility but can refer patients to nearby drug rehab facilities if necessary.

Outpatient care allows the patient to be treated for a few hours throughout the week while still returning home to maintain work or school schedules. During these sessions, a patient will learn to cope with life apart from their addiction and learn to live a healthier, sober life. Therapy sessions throughout the week will also identify traumas that may be contributing to their negative behavioral patterns.

CRT Counseling may accept most major insurance providers, such as Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Humana, United Healthcare, and others. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I reached out to Lee using the website contact form to request marriage counseling. I waited over a week and have not received a response. A counselor that doesn't respond to people in their time of need is not one that needs to be considered. In the event the lack of response is related to not taking new clients, a simple reply saying that is the case goes a long way, especially for people who are in a moment of need.

LEE TIPTON is the man who I saw. I am incredibly grateful and plan to come back when my insurance allows. He was attentive and followed my story. I ended up having to stop going before we got too far, but when we spoke, his feedback, questions, and tasks were reflected on in my personal time. These self reflections allowed me to direct my relationship with my toxic mother while also communicating with her about what my boundaries are, in a way that didn't allow resentment to fester. HUGE DEAL because I now have a relationship with my mother while my siblings do not.I also was separated from the mother of my son due to unhealthy relationship habits picked up from childhood examples set by my mother. 2 years later, my son't mother and I are reconciling.I remember feeling like I was lost and trying to find my own direction before I met with him. After our sessions, I remember feeling more secure in the direction I was taking which helped immensely with my confidence and self image. I realized that I wasn't a terrible person and that I didn't deserve to live in hell on earth.I realized while I was there that I was deceiving myself into thinking that I was a terrible person due to things I'd done in the past and as a result I self sabotaged my relationships with others, which caused more grief. I really appreciate this place and Lee Tipton. I NEVER forget my debts.
