I went to this clinic previously before going to Bowen Recovery the next time around. The difference is night and day. The first time I tried to get in at CBH they had me wait for hours just to find out they couldn t take me that day and I had to go next week to try again. The second time I waited for hours again but thankfully was accepted. Bowen Recovery let me know right away if they had time for me and their intake time was an hour or less! CBH has no privacy, you re standing super close in line to others, the wait times are ridiculous with the long lines, and there s only one bathroom that s meant for drug screens. At Bowen Recovery you have so much privacy, you aren t standing in lines, I ve never been there for more than ten minutes, and they have a couple different bathrooms for use. Everyone at CBH would just constantly complain about everything possible and were beyond negative. At Bowen Recovery everyone seems to keep to themselves and I never hear complaining. At CBH I had went through three counselors in three months of being there because they d constantly quit; I was never able to form a connection with them and their schedules were never consistent. At Bowen Recovery I love my counselor and we have the same time every week. I live an hour away from Bowen Recovery and they let me have one take home early just to help the cause of driving so far daily. CBH never worked with me on getting take homes early. There weren t ever enough nurses at CBH which made wait times long and if someone had a take home box you d be waiting even longer. At Bowen Recovery everyone goes to their own door which has a separate window to take their dose, no one is standing right over your shoulder which is nice and having a take home box doesn t affect anyone else. Also, whenever there s a nurse out at Bowen Recovery the doctor is willing to step in and help the cause, you d never see that at CBH. Although, staff at CBH wasn t terrible, the staff at Bowen Recovery actually care and you can feel it. I was super sick when I went in for my Bowen Recovery intake and the lady went extra fast because she wanted me to feel relief as soon as possible. At CBH I could only go up 5mg every other day to every few days, at Bowen Recovery they let you go up 10mg every day for a few days then 10mg every other day. There would be times when I d need to use the bathroom at CBH but everyone would get upset due to it being the only bathroom for drug screens; at Bowen Recovery drug screens have their own bathroom then they have additional bathrooms for others to use. Bowen Recovery has two decently sized waiting rooms for you to sit down in, at CBH they have a few chairs in a small room but you have to stand in line the whole time for your dose. At Bowen Recovery they give you an ID number then it s called/shown on a screen then you just goto whatever door it s assigned to, at CBH you just show your ID and stand in a single line. Basically, I wish I would have known about Bowen Recovery before going to CBH. They aren t horrible people at CBH by any means BUT the difference to Bowen Recovery is night and day. Bowen Recovery seems to care more about your recovery than CBH. If you want to actually make a difference in your recovery I suggest you goto Bowen Recovery; you can call and make an appointment but also try going in during the week when they open to see if they take walk ins. Good luck on your recovery, I suggest calling Bowen Recovery after reading this.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab provides intensive, round-the-clock care and is designed primarily for clients who have just completed detox, those in early recovery, and those at an increased risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment typically includes extensive psychotherapy that draws on various modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. Clients also learn the recovery-focused life skills needed to promote sustained recovery. Many inpatient drug rehabs also offer evidence-based holistic therapies like meditation, yoga, massage, and experiential therapy.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients receiving support in a rehab aftercare program have completed inpatient care and may also be preparing to exit formal outpatient care. Outpatient services are typically categorized as rehab aftercare, but these services often continue beyond the cessation of formal treatment. Rehab aftercare services are designed to promote life-long recovery through comprehensive, wraparound care, which may include medical, mental health, and social services. These programs are usually created in collaboration with the client's case manager and care team.
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs foster participants' long-term sobriety through personal growth rooted in spiritual principles, though religious affiliation is not mandatory. Most 12 step meetings are non-denominational but are based on the belief in a higher power. Participants learn to understand and address the causes of their addiction, accept responsibility for their choices, and relinquish control for that which cannot be changed. Regular group meetings and mentoring by a self-selected sponsor are required.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
When families plan a drug intervention in Indiana, the goal is to create self-awareness in their loved one, so they acknowledge the need for treatment and get help. A professional interventionist can work with the individual's family members to organize this intervention and provide direction for follow-up. During the intervention, loved ones share how the individual's substance abuse has affected them, and the interventionist adds a clinical perspective on how treatment can help the situation.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

For long-term recovery from drug addiction, drug rehab in Indiana is often key. This treatment gives individuals who are struggling with a substance use disorder the tools to manage their disorder and achieve long-term sobriety.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
postpartum-program thumbnail image
Postpartum Program
The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.
hiv-aids-program thumbnail image
HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.

Clinical Services

When you participate in cognitive behavioral therapy in Indiana, you'll learn to recognize distorted thinking that has led to substance use. Your therapist will help you establish new patterns of thinking and healthy ways to cope with challenges that don't involve substance use.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Qualified therapists in Indiana use a customized treatment approach for individual therapy to address your drug and alcohol addiction treatment. This considers your past history and life circumstances to help you uncover the underlying issues that trigger addictive behavior and manage these factors to support a healthy approach to recovery.

Motivational interviewing aims to stimulate the client's personal motivation and commitment to change. Rather than receive advice and warnings from the therapist, the client is given the opportunity to share their concerns and reach their own conclusions.

During trauma therapy in Indiana, your therapist helps you process traumatic experiences and learn how they affect your emotional, mental, and physical responses. You learn effective coping strategies that help to reduce the symptoms and improve your mental health and well being.

In couples therapy, you and your partner work with a psychologist to identify challenges in the relationship and what changes need to be made. You'll work on listening, communicating, and navigating those changes in healthy ways.

The goal of family therapy in Indiana is to empower family members to effectively support their loved one's recovery. Therapists work with family members to develop the skills needed to manage stress and resolve conflicts successfully. This fosters a positive environment that is conducive to long term sobriety.

Life skills include cognitive skills, interpersonal skills, and personal skills that help you manage daily living. Cultivating these skills during rehab in Indiana is an important part of recovery. With these skills, you'll be able to navigate challenges and prevent relapse.

I was going to this clinic for 7yrs. I eventually found a point in my life I was ready to taper off the medicine and live my life completely free of mind altering substances. Well not completely free yet. I enjoy my cigs and coffee lol. They will try to counsel you and help you from living a potential terrible lifestyle addicted to opiates. If you want to come off drugs you can. You have to put your mind to it.I started tapering from the methadone even by attempting to lower my dose just 1mg a medically advised method. Which I would recommend. I went from 70mg to 45mg medically advised then I decided to taper faster. The tapering process obviously helped. I know this because I was taking methadone and other opiates in the past and had to quit cold turkey do to being incarcerated. I m grateful for this place as it helped me. I hope it can help the next person.

complaint i have is i went for opiate withdraw and figured out a year later i was suffering from CHS (canabanoid hypermesis syndrome) even though I have no opiates in my drug test, just because I smoked pot, I cannot get a take-home even for a weekend after two years of going there even then well knowing that my issue was not even opiates, but here I am now addicted to methadone not allowed to take homes because of THC in my urine when every other clinic allows for THC in their urine in the state of Indiana it s a joke. I even told my counselor about the situation and I still called and harassed on the days. I tell them I am not coming in. I made it clear that I get sick in the mornings sometimes every other week from this illness and I still get called so I disagree that they listen to issues And sadly, the only immediate cure for CHS is benzos, which you cannot take on this medicine which I was prescribed for over a year, never never got sick, but then got blackballed because of my accusations of taking opiates when in reality I was sick for marijuana. I hate every Health facility that claims they will do whatever they can for you when the problem is in their face and they sadly say oh well this is the best I can do for you. I ve been sober from this for years. The least they could do is transfer my records to a facility that allows for THC and show them my drug test so I can start to get my take homes and not have to get sick double time every time I have to miss for being profusely ill from CHS. however, I will say some of the nurses who don t have the power to change anything Do indeed care my rating is purely on the rules and regulation of this clinic. They run it as if it is the 1950s with thc rules

They help you through the hardest part of addiction and they make you feel like they actually care about your sobriety. I have just started my journey but if I would have known about this place before i would have got help alot sooner. They give you a different outlook on life and help you get to were you need/want to be in life. So if you are considering getting help with your addiction let them help you out.**UPDATE** I am still sober haven't had a relapse and I am so grateful for this place and Bowen recovery. They both helped me so much make it to this point. Just wanted to say sobriety can happen and will if you want it!!

Just be prepared for the amount of time you will be here. If you think you're going to have some kind of normal life again, THINK AGAIN. This is just like doing whatever you were doing but now you can't go anywhere without making arrangements to dose somewhere else and it's expensive. If you have any kind of emergency and need to go out of town you are screwed. And you can work on take homes but if you don't have them the clinic will do nothing to help you. I've been to at least 6 other clinics and they ALL give weekend take homes and are closed on holidays. This is the ONLY place that is open 365 days!! I wake up every day in a bad mood knowing I have to go here. I've been fortunate to have a family that has always been there so I know who and what saved my life!

They actually care! The staff is more than helpful! They really do want to help people. If your thinking about going just flip the switch and go! First day takes a few hours to get in the system and see the Dr. After that your in and out. They off all sorts of resources. My biggest thing is that they actually care and do not look down on anyone. This place probably saved my life.
