I haven't been to this place in 3 years, but the person I am today would not have been had it not been for my counselor. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name, but she helped me in so many ways. I went to her originally for couples counseling, and then I ended up going to her by myself. MY relationship with my ex-husband was toxic and she really tried to help us. When I informed her of our splitting, she helped me come up with goals and achievements so I could be a better myself. I wish I could have told her thank you for the guidance and help she gave me in such a hard time. I am now a full-time college student, and I moved out of state before being able to say goodbye. Y'all are amazing. Thank you for the respect that was shown to me, and how much you all actually cared. I felt safe to cry, safe to shout, safe to be angry, because most of all I was heard. Thank you-Miquel Heard (previously known as Jeune.)

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an inpatient rehab facility are typically in early recovery or are at heightened risk of relapse. Clients in inpatient care remain at the facility for the duration of their program, enabling them to focus solely on their recovery. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive psychotherapy, often including group and family counseling as well as one-on-one sessions. Recovery-focused life skills education is another common service. Many rehabs also offer evidence-based holistic therapies.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) evolve with clients' changing needs and are often well-suited for clients exiting inpatient rehab and those at an increased relapse risk. These programs typically involve between nine and 20 hours of treatment weekly, with the intensity and frequency of care decreasing as clients stabilize. Most intensive outpatient rehabs integrate a variety of treatment modalities to maintain a high level of individualized care. Services generally include counseling, recovery education, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer a complete continuum of care for clients in the maintenance phase of recovery and are predicated on the idea that addiction disease is a chronic condition prone to relapse and warranting continuing care. Clients collaborate with their care team and case manager to access the specific rehab aftercare services they need to promote their sustained sobriety. Peer coaching, relapse prevention services, career counseling, and 12 step program induction are common in these programs.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services can provide customized interventions tailored to the needs of the individual and family. An intervention specialist can design and conduct a drug intervention in North Carolina that encourages the individual to enter treatment in a non-coercive manner. The specialist will meet with the family to plan the intervention, then provide expert insights to guide the process and appropriate follow-up care.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Individuals in early recovery often require 24-hour clinical care in North Carolina. This supervised care typically includes medications to treat specific withdrawal symptoms, which vary based on the substance abused. For example, staff may provide sleep aids to treat insomnia in patients who are addicted to marijuana. For those overcoming a cocaine use disorder, anti-depressants may be prescribed to manage mood swings. Other medications may also be provided to treat addiction-related health issues.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Clients who receive cognitive behavioral therapy in North Carolina typically attend five to 20 sessions. During this time, they work with their therapist to learn healthier patterns of thinking, which can help them change their behavior related to substance use.

Counseling that applies dialectical behavior therapy teaches you coping skills to apply to your daily life. The focus is on intense emotions and developing coping mechanisms to manage them. Therapy sessions are a series of teaching lessons that help you develop these coping skills.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

If you're struggling with insecurity about your ability to make changes in your life, motivational interviewing in North Carolina could be a good solution. This type of therapy offers support and empowerment to help you explore your options and decide how to move forward with positive changes.

Trauma therapy helps you reclaim your life after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Therapists help to process these memories, which promotes emotional healing and reduces anxiety in social situations. This improves your overall well being and increases your self confidence.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization And Reprocessing

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Routine tasks are difficult for someone experiencing addiction. Daily skills deteriorate, which makes it harder to achieve recovery. That's why drug rehab programs in North Carolina reteach basic life skills. This gives you the tools you need to manage daily life without returning to substance use.

I have been working with Ms.Underwood for over a year now. She is a wonderful therapist. She has helped me through tough times, seen me at worst and is helping me become a better version of myself. Thank you for that. She is absolutely awesome at what she does.

I used to see Mabel Stellato here. I had told her that I had to stop seeing her for a little bit because I was about to have a baby. In late January I was going to see her that evening to catch up and so she could see my baby. She had to cancel because she was not feeling well and was going to reschedule me later on. A month had went by and i had not heard from her. I had a weird feeling so i googled her name to find her obituary. Talk about hurt. I do not know why the company had not notified me of her passing. I am not sure if they are not allowed to or what. I had been seeing Mrs. Mabel for almost 12 years on and off. She was like a 2nd mom to me. She knew all my children and she was loved. I miss her a lot. I do not think I can ever find another like her. I was also ready for her to see my son as well.

Kaela, we were so saddened by Mabel's sudden passing. She was such a wonderful person and meant so much to so many people. We reached out to all of her clients using the contact information she had listed for them. We would love the opportunity to discuss this further, please call 910-485-6336 to speak with management. Thank you!

Odyessey Webb, MA, LPC is unprofessional. She couldn't remember who I was talking about or my concerns and I had to constantly explain things to her from our previous visits i.e. I explained to her my mother watches my kids so I can have me time. Webb then asks me "So is your mother living?"really.. do you think my mother watches them from heaven? She doesn't pay attention!
