I have been see Ms. Michelle bi-weekly for about 2 years now. She has been awesome. Even when COVID hit, she adjusted quickly and we started conducting sessions virtually. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for her services.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I currently work with Michelle Brown. I have to say, out of all the counseling and mentor resources I have tapped into in the past- this is one of the best experiences I have had! Michelle is attentive to detail, extremely caring and compassionate about how you feel, and excellent at bringing very good re-directive tools and considerations to how we see things as an individual. She knows how to help navigate through some of the inner challenges I am experiencing, and has a worldly understanding of the human experience. I am extremely impressed with her insights, her care, and acknowledgement of where I stand in relationship to who I want to become and I am so grateful to have her guidance through some of the things I have been experiencing. The tough times, are equally interesting while in session. She is very intuitive and knows how to bring things to the forefront in order to discover what's underneath that's holding us all back in life. We all experience those habitual patterns that stump our ability to move forward. She is the highlight inside this process to bring forward what we know about ourselves, and to remind us of who we really are, not just who we think we are from past situations and circumstances. Excellent counseling for anyone that is ready and willing to dig deeper and become who they really are!

My insurance company recommended this place. so I called and spoke with Michelle and she referred a therapist still in training in her offic and it mentioned that there would be a supervisor watching her that was not the case. I didn't fit well with that therapist and I felt very uncomfortable communicating with her. So I canceled my appointments and spoke with Michelle about a different therapist. She had a full schedule but decided to take me as a patient. Throughout my visit with her I noticed that my billing/email would show up 3to 4 days after my appointment. The last scheduled session I had to cancel. I called within the required time of her office and practice. I left her a message asking her to call me back so we could reschedule. That appointment was on 15 September on that Saturday I received an email stating that Buckingham therapy had charged me for a session on the 15th. It has been over one month and no return phone call. So I chose to give her a call expecting her to call me on my day off when I would have my billing and paperwork in front of me. Instead my message was received by her as being aggressive and attacking. This was needed the case nor the intent by me. She then further used personal information that I had given to her during our sessions and used to attack and insult me. Please I beg anybody that reads this to stay away from this particular office this woman is cruel vile acerbic and not worth your time. And yes I may have used some aggressive words in return but fair is fair
