Before putting myself into a 30-Day Intensive Inpatient Program at Bright Future Recovery (BFR), I was a lost, hopeless soul addicted to alcohol. After 32 years of heavy, heavy drinking, I had finally hit my rock bottom, and I felt that I was quickly on my way to drinking myself to death. Upon arriving at BFR, I was greeted with open, caring and loving arms, and my path towards recovery from alcohol addiction began. BFR Staff--Darlene, Amanda, Larissa, Danae, "Mama D," Grammy, Papa, Chef Carlo, Mariah, Rachel, and I am sure I am forgetting a few names at the moment--all of them treated me like Family, and I came to look at them as Family. Each and every staff member played a critical role in my recovery program--a 10-day detox followed by a 20-day residential stay. The treatment center at 1000 Fairview Road in Hollister, CA, is a beautiful ranch style home in the middle of beautiful, rural Hollister. With fresh, clean air, rolling hills, mountain views, your path to recovery begins in a beautiful house with large rooms, plenty of natural sunlight coming through windows galore. The bedrooms, and living spaces are very roomy and comfortable, filled with comfy beds and furniture.I cannot say enough positive things about my time at BFR. 53 days sober now, thanks solely to the tools and resources I learned about at BFR, and now an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, I was once so lost, living in the deepest throws of alcoholism, once not wanting to wake up anymore, BFR helped me find my way. Thanks to Bright Future Recovery, I was lost, but now I am found.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab provides intensive treatment for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Unlike outpatient drug rehab, clients receiving inpatient care reside at the facility for the duration of the program. The length of stay may range from two weeks to 18 months or more, depending on the client's needs and the program's design. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants engaged in 12 step programs receive intensive peer coaching (sponsorship) and community support. Spiritual development as a means of achieving psychological and emotional healing and growth is the cornerstone of 12 step recovery, but religious affiliations are not required. Meetings are free, anonymous, and open to the public, though specialized formats are available, including groups for seniors, teens, and family members. Evening, night, and day meetings are conducted year-round in most communities.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober living homes in California offers an intermediate sober environment that has less structure than inpatient rehab but more than typical home environments. This makes it a good option for those who have concerns about transitioning back to the "real world" after treatment. Residents can typically live at the halfway house as long as they want, if they are willing to follow house rules. These may include a curfew, chores, and maintaining a job.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
When an individual is in denial about their substance use disorder, their loved ones may organize a drug intervention in California. This effort involves gently but assertively confronting the individual about their substance use and sharing how it has affected those who care about them. A professional interventionist may also attend this gathering. Their expertise with intervention services can prove helpful in guiding the conversation to a positive result.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
During the first phase of recovery – detox – it is crucial to have 24-hour clinical care in California. This care provides constant monitoring in order to ensure your safely and comfort as you progress through the withdrawal process for drug or alcohol addiction. Licensed professionals prescribe medications to treat withdrawal symptoms and provide frequent monitoring to ensure your safely as addictive toxins leave your system.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image

They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

young-adult-program thumbnail image

1,000 days ago, I decided I was sick & tired of being sick & tired. I surrendered myself by choice to this wonderful recovery program. I did NOT always think it was wonderful at the time , but the lessons I learned there resonate with me every single day, and I am eternally grateful. I barely remember the Hollister location, where I spent my first couple days of detox. What I do remember from that time was feeling people care for me more than I had ever imagined I could care for myself. I was one of the first residents in the beautiful Avila Beach location, and I will never forget going back to my college town to intentionally change my life forever. If you are considering throwing in the towel on the toxic substance society pushes on you every day, everywhere, do not let your fear stop you from asking for help. Feeling safe, guided, & supported through the initial days of this process is key. Developing your own personal toolbox of ways to cope with triggers & cravings is essential. BFR helped me do just that, and I remember and feel gratitude EVERY SINGLE DAY. Thank you for helping me change my life. Proud to be able to say, I have found my ikigai.

I have struggled with addiction for over 10 years. I work in the field myself ,surrendering and being the patient was hard to do. I have been to few other treatment centers, in past and hated them all. I can honestly say Bright Future Recovery was the best place for me. I never felt so safe, cared for and listen to. All the staff were so warm and friendly. Mama D was like grandma I could confide in. Jess was the sister I always wanted and told me the truth. Darlene understood my needs for self care and Larissa and Amanda made sure we still got experience life, the little trips to beach or hike in pentacles was beautiful reminder of higher power. Paint therapy was something I never thought I would enjoy, and I loved it and even look forward to Mondays. Danae was able to give me the one on one's I needed to make the smart choices. I am so happy I made the decision to stay after detox and do the work I needed. I looked forward to Sunday family visits and getting see my kids and puppy. Even they enjoyed the house and activities that we got to do well visiting. Addiction is hard and a true disease, making the choice to take care of you self is big start and I would send any of my loved ones to Bright Future. Thank you for giving me the confidence and support I needed to get my life back.

After contacting various facilities with disappointing results I filled out the online form and was contacted by Brandon only 20 minutes after submitting! On the call he was very professional and accommodating. Once he heard my story he asked for my insurance info and said he would have billing details within an hour. Less than 30 minutes later he called back advising I had full coverage and that I could come in asap. I was there the next day and was greeted by some of the best people I ve met in my life. All of the staff are awesome and the program is exactly what I needed and expected. The house is nice and there is a sauna!! I mean come on!? If you want to get sober I can t suggest BFR enough
