About BAART Programs Boyle Heights

BAART Programs ā€“ Boyle Heights is an addiction treatment clinic thatā€™s located in Los Angeles, California. They provide outpatient addiction treatment and medication-assisted treatment for people with opioid use disorder. The goal of this program is to help you embark on a path to recovery. Theyā€™ll also connect you to any local resources needed.

During treatment, you can expect a combination of medication assessments and testing with case management. The core of the program is individual and group counseling. Therapy often focuses on relapse prevention education. BAART also provides integrated primary medical care with referrals to community resources. Youā€™ll also receive discharge planning and support.

Methadone and buprenorphine will be used to treat any opioid withdrawal symptoms you may be experiencing. These medications reduce drug cravings and establish a foundation for recovery. Whatā€™s quite unique about this program is that guest medication services with flexible daily dosing hours are available. This is for anyone who needs their medication and may be visiting from out of town.

Former clients mentioned the wonderful care they received. They also said there were compassionate providers and life changing programs.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opiate Addiction Treatment Centers specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

This place has had my id for months they told me they would call me back I've made several attempts myself to contact them about it and nothing the last I heard from them is that there was a note on file that they do in fact have my id but for some reason it wasn't pinned to the note so I told them when they find it to mail it to my po box and I still haven't received it. I'm going to have to make a police report or something cause I don't know what they could be doing with my id it's been so long this is crazy I've never had a clinic hold on to my id or anything at that like this.... I'm going to call and ask one more time if I can't pick up my id some time soon I'm going to have to do something about this.

The staff is great they've truly put me on a path to recovery. I can't thank them enough from the counselors, to the nurses, to the staff everyone Is super friendly. And they work really hard and still have a smile because they want to help people. The city needs to give them all a raise because they save people from the horrible cycle that is addiction! If you are scared about getting clean don't be just call and talk to someone at baart they will help you and walk you through this program. I used to wake up thinking I'm never gonna stop taking pills because I was afraid of withdrawls. That one call I made to Baart completely changed my life, methadone is great for stopping withdrawls, and the support that they give you helps alot in maintaining your sobriety. Thank you all!

This place is unprofessional!!! They don t have enough staff, so if one call off they don t have a replacement so since they cant find anyone, you will have to miss out on getting your dose for the day. This is the second time I had to miss out on my dose because of this place is u professional!!! So the patients have to suffer because they can t keep employees. This is absurd, horrible service!

The clinic's physician Thomas Farnham, M.D. is ready to administer the proper dose of methadone to meet any patient's needs. Many methadone clinic's physicians do not believe in dosing above a certain dose of medication. In clinics where the physician places a limit on the amount of medication they are willing to prescribe, there is a chance that the patient may not receive enough methadone to quell their withdrawal symptoms. I recently transferred to this clinic from another clinic where the physician refused to increase my dose because of tolerance development. I had a very difficult choice to make-Stay at the clinic that I was at; or find another clinic where the doctor really cared about his patients. This clinic really cares about helping their patients-All of their patients, not just the ones that fit inside of the box.
