Dissapointed. Called the san diego number during business hours, was redirected to Tennessee. After multiple attempts eventually reached a contact in san diego, was first told they don't offer in patient at all. Then was handed off in asking to verify insurance, after several more attempts I spoke with a rep who basically made it his mission to talk me out of attending and talked in circles about how they don't accept any insurance ce (despite the website specifically showing policies they accept) in the end after a dozen attempts I gave up and said I'll look for a different program.

Big shout out to apex recovery for providing the most comforting and reassuring process at a rehab I have ever been too !. you guys are all remarkable. I remember making the phone call and speaking to this guy Jake... never have I ever met the guy on the other side of the phone until apex. He stopped by to check on me and this never has happened before they always promise they will be their and he actually was. I wanna throw a shout out to Eamon, Sarah,David,Ali and Sabrina for playing part in my recovery ! for once I feel like I'm going to succeed and stay sober !

An absolute money scam of a rehab in California. A trap house with government approved paperwork. You can't call it anything less than an unsober living tbh, vs sober living becuase if you are not high, they don't want you. Liquor bottles by techs house. Out in plain sight, dope baggies and active use with proof by hot UAs on several members of the house who were allowed to remain there in spite of continually using. Not my scene as sobriety is vital to my life and it will NOT happen there with Eamon running it and STAY CLEAR OF THIS NIGHTMARE

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

Family therapy offers a platform for members to have an open dialogue about the challenges that addiction has placed on the family unit. Through guided sessions, therapists can help families develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues. By working together toward a common goal, they help to support their loved one's sobriety.

If you need help detoxing from alcohol or other drugs, this is the place. However, they lie, and tell you everything is confidential while talking to the councilor. I was personally told that what I was sharing in my therapy session would not be told to anyone else. But they have these team meetings and share all the things you talk about in therapy. My recommendation is to not believe them when they say everything is confidential, because it s not. I shared something with one of them. The very next day, I get a call telling me what I said was shared with the whole team, which led to me being exited from the program. So just know it s a great place to detox & all the staff are super nice. But nothing you say in the therapy sessions is truly confidential.

The managers who got me from crisis unit and the BHTs are amazing, very kind, chill, would recommend. The detox house was very clean comfortable and homey better than any other facility I ve been to!! II felt so safe and cared for as a 19 year old female vegan lol when I came during the worst of the pandemic too, and they got me a meal my favorite drive through in San Diego that night and my detox medication process started and shower stuff. The detox house was very clean comfortable and homey better than any other facility I ve been to!!I don t remember there being any after care planner there at the time and was dealing with issues unfortunatelyWay more professional than other drug rehabs! I would send a family member here. They employ in house chefs here which is really great for everyone

I came into this place from an inpatient facility. I had spoken to a person on the phone named Jake (have actually met him, great guy) from apex who worked with me and my family to go to phase 1 for inpatient, then once I completed treatment there, alongside working with me and my mom on aftercare, I started treatment at Apex Recovery. Being at this facility has helped me achieve things I thought I couldn t even see possible. I have obtained (actually use words like obtain now lol) my GED, started working, rebuilding relationships, becoming what some may say a responsible adult , I needed what this place had to offer. Immediately when I got there I felt as if I had immense support, accountability, guidance, education in front of me. It felt like a family, and I m so sad to leave but I m ready for my next phase of life which is to get my own place and continue with work and life. To some, this may sound normal, but if you re an addict these thing s are major life achievements, considering where my life was at before I came to this place. I lived at the Bonnie house throughout my treatment. The house manager David has gone beyond the moon and stars to make me feel welcomed at the house, and with the community of people. The housing that apex provides for the patients was absolutely breath taking. My mother and I did extensive research, talked to multiple facilities, and at the end of all that this was the solution I came too. I m so happy I ended up here. I myself haven t been to treatment before this experience, but I have heard from other clients that some places are nightmares and not legitimate. If I could give a million stars I would. Biggest thanks to Steven, Alli, David, and Ali. You guys played a huge part in my recovery. Thanks again so much

I recently had the pleasure of working with Apex Recovery in San Diego, and I am thoroughly impressed. The facility is top-notch, offering a serene and supportive environment for those seeking recovery. I had the honor of working closely with Jake, and he is truly one of a kind. Often, it can be a daunting process finding help for a loved one. However, Jake's professionalism, ease of communication, and genuine care made the recovery process much more manageable. He truly goes above and beyond to help individuals feel safe, and get them the help they need. I highly recommend Apex Recovery to anyone seeking effective and compassionate addiction treatment.

We are sorry you are confused by our site. We offer an array of services in multiple locations. We would be very excited to hop on a call and clear up any questions you have. We also can provide an array of referrals if our facility is not the right fit. We would hope that a 2 star review would be removed since no service has been received. Let us know how we can help you! Apex Staff

They are ok with not paying a vendor for services done. Richard Estevez scheduled the work and approved the price. He promised to mail a check which was never received. Now he won't return our calls. I even called the main office and explained the situation. They will no longer return our calls. They're all very nice to you over the phone, don't be fooled as I was

I want to give a shout-out and a personal thank you to Mr. Thomas Ward who helped my son during a very difficult time. I was put in contact with Thomas by the case manager at Palomar Crisis unit, as I desperately sought answers to help my family member. Mr. Ward gave me excellent insights and information about treatment options. I was impressed by Thomas' compassion and he personally called and spoke to my family member and connected with him. He encouraged my loved one to seek help and provided a path forward for me deal with the situation. Thank you Thomas! You made me go from feeling helpless, to informed and with suggested actions. My loved one has now entered a recovery program. A heartfelt thank you Tom!
