About Alina Lodge

Alina Lodge is an organization in Blairstown, New Jersey that can provide support if you are experiencing drug addiction.. This place is pretty luxurious and gives you a place to stay while you go through recovery. You’ll be able to stay for about 28 days depending on what you’re facing.

They have a personal care team who provides cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy. These two therapies are quite common. This house has many amenities that you’d expect from a luxury rehab. The campus itself is very large and you’ll be able to use their full gym. Rooms are semi private since you’ll have a roommate. Their multiple trails can help you relax while you work on your recovery.

Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive a full continuum of care while continuing to live at home. They're often ideal for clients who are stepping down from inpatient care but some clients may prefer to transition into outpatient treatment immediately after completing detox. Many outpatient facilities also offer ambulatory medical detox for low-risk clients. Outpatient treatment generally includes psychotherapy and life skills training. Clients in opioid and/or alcohol recovery may also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients in a rehab aftercare program have typically completed detox and intensive inpatient and are medically stable. These programs are designed to address addiction recovery as a life-long process. Outpatient counseling and recovery education are typically categorized as drug rehab aftercare, but many clients continue to receive support after being discharged from formal outpatient treatment. Case managers and recovery teams facilitate clients' access to peer coaching, career counseling, 12 step program induction, and related services.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Detox is the process of allowing the body to rid itself of alcohol or other drugs while managing the symptoms withdrawal in a medically supervised setting. Alina Lodge has its own detoxification Unit consisting of 10 beds. The length of detox is determined by the amount of substance being used and the length of time a person has been using that substance. It is assessed on a case to case basis. Other factors include a person's age and health.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in New Jersey typically follows a set structure of treatment. The therapist helps clients identify their life challenges and their thoughts surrounding those challenges. The client then learns to identify unhealthy thought patterns and reshape those into healthy patterns of thinking and behavior.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical means opposing. The premise of dialectical behavior therapy is to learn how two things that seem to be opposite can actually be true. You learn how to accept yourself while also making changes. The focus is on accepting your emotions and changing how you manage them.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Most experts in couples therapy are trained in several modes of treatment. This allows your therapist to draw from various techniques to personalize your therapy for your needs. This may include cognitive, emotional, and behavioral methods, which are all designed to help you strengthen your relationship.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is trauma focused therapy to help you integrate disturbing memories. This helps to achieve an adaptive resolution using bilateral stimulation. This can mean following your therapist's fingers with your eyes, tapping, or auditory tones. EMDR requires specialized training to help alleviate emotional distress and foster cognitive restructuring.

family iconFamily Therapy

The residential Family Program is available to immediate family members over the age of 13. Participants are involved in a structured program which includes educational presentations concerning the disease of alcoholism; support and understanding gained in small group discussion; individual conference time designed to address personal issues; and an introduction to Al-Anon family groups which are recommended for continuing support. They strongly encourage families to participate in the family program.

nutritional-therapy iconNutritional Therapy

art-brush iconCreative Arts Therapy

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

nicotine iconNicotine Replacement Therapy

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

This place saved my life.Specifically Rachel Neal who assisted me long after I completed treatment. She ensured all paperwork for leave was completed months after I left. She also got me into a secondary treatment facility after the first one I went to didn't work out.I would also like to state my counselor, Bill Rust, also put in a lot of effort to give me the best chance I could get after I left. He spent time with me, actually talking and listening to my problems. He made me feel like my problems were not unique and there were solutions already available. There are countless other people involved that deserve thanks but these 2 really stood out to me the most.I'll never be able to thank this place enough, and I say this with over 7 months. This has not been something I could say for years.Thank you.

Alina lodge saved my life. I was suffering before I came in, and didn't even realize the extent of it. Alina alotted me an environment to be quirky and myself all while healing. This was my first rehab facility, and in my gut i know if I take their suggestions and continue the work, it will be my last.Rachel helped me out with finding a great aftercare plan. Although not perfect, I am sitting in a pretty neat residential PHP where I am continuing to learn. You guys are awesome and I miss the staff. I won't be back and I mean that in a good way! It was sufficient and helped me develop into a healthier woman.

One of the worst places I ve been to. No one helps you with what you need. I almost lost my job because paper work wasn t filled out correctly. And after discharge, they wouldn t help me with medications I was prescribed there. Unbelievable that this is a place that is supposed to help you get your life back on track

First things first there are some staff here that are great and go above and beyond and are very smart and helpful. But the nursing department and administrative staff are overwhelmed and understaffed. My counselor had 9 clients and others had even more. There is little to no communication between staff and client when it comes to anything. If you want to make a phone call good luck you have 15+ guys living in the same dorm fighting over time slots, there's only one phone and they shut it off except for a couple hours every day. Even scheduling use of your own cellphone is next to impossible to pay bills. I had to pay a late fee because somehow this was too difficult for them to schedule. Now let's look at nursing, I have personally never seen people higher in detox than they came in, people sleeping for days on end, falling asleep eating lunch and dinner. It's absolutely insane honestly. I was handed the wrong meds a few times and thankfully asked what was in the cup. That's not even the best part, my roommate rolled his ankle the day before, contacted nursing at 430am to get help because he could barely walk on it... he waited until noon because he hadn't heard anything and they said "we're on lunch" they wouldn'teven talk to him, so I wheeled him over to the main building where they brought him to the hospital where the staff forgot where they had left him. He was standing outside in 90 heat on crutches for 2hrs before they figured out where he was. I did learn a few things here but it's mainly a 12 step boot camp. In my first two weeks I saw my counselor collectively for about 40min. I never felt like a priority and actually felt unsafe at times. I felt the need to leave AMA and I do not regret it. Alina Lodge is a money mill now sadly. They are way understaffed and overbooked. Honestly idk how they are holding onto their medical licenses.

Alina Lodge saved my life in so many ways. I was not very happy to be there initially, but the staff was extremely supportive and patient with me. I m so thankful that I listened to my family and the staff and stayed as long as I did. I didn t just get sober, I found a new way to live and to truly be happy. I will always be grateful to Alina and the staff and counselors for showing me how to live a sober life happy and free.

Alina Lodge is the most caring rehab I have ever been to in my entire life. The Family building s clinicians leadership and expertise lead me to the most rewarding work I have ever done on myself.
