My recent 30 day residential treatment at Casa Serena was far more personal and professional than I expected. The home and grounds have a peaceful vibe. I felt safe and definitely seen as an individual by the group leaders and therapists. Being together with a small number of woman fostered sincere, honest conversations. Casa Serena provided me with the tools to replace my addiction with something far better. Self respect, better judgement, hope and continued growth through the alumni community. If you are willing to take advantage of what they have to offer, you will walk out that beautiful front door after treatment to a whole new sober life.

I am so grateful for Casa Serena. The home is serene and beautiful inside and out. The interprofessional staff members are well educated in the unique needs of the young girls/women who have come to Casa for help. They are compassionate and so encouraging. While our daughter received exceptional care at Casa, we, as family members were also invited to attend weekly ZOOM meetings with other parents, spouses affected by various addictions. The meetings helped us to see that we were not alone in this journey with our daughter and helped us move forward with our lives. I will always be so thankful for Casa and the support they continue to give. It was definitely the best place our daughter ever went to for her alcoholism. After 248 days, she remains sober. One day at a time! She continues to go to the alumni meetings on Wednesday night at Casa. Even though people “graduate” from Casa Serena after a few weeks of in-house treatment, they continue to offer in-person support, as needed.

I spent the entire year of 2013 at Bethel House. The best decision of my life. After graduating, I didn't want to leave. LOL! I have never met such amazing people, the staff was so loving, supportive and selfless. I would recommend this program to anyone who is struggling with addiction. CRC is an outstanding rehab I highly recommend. The compassionate staff and serene location, just two blocks from the ocean, provide an ideal setting for recovery. Santa Barbara’s strong recovery community is bolstered by CRC’s dedicated doctors and therapists, who deliver personalized care through counseling, 12-step meetings, and therapies like stress management. Unlike some newer sober living facilities that lack sufficient support, CRC offers comprehensive programs and a robust support. Lots of alum in long term sobriety.

Let me be perfectly honest with this place. It’s the most beautiful and amazing place to get sober. I came here from 5Bath. My experience came in twofold first I was shunned by a bunch of patients who came in together. I didn’t care because about their issues. They were kicked out because of drugs. This place has saved my life with the most knowledgeable and caring staff. So don’t listen to people who were kicked out for not keeping this place safe. Please trust in what I am telling you. Great place to get your life back together. Thanks CRC

Everything was smooth honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a dental office. From the warm greeting to the professional tone, the entire visit felt comfortable and reassuring. He listened carefully, explained things clearly, and made sure to tell me what he was doing before he did it, so nothing came as a surprise. A pretty straightforward and simple program, the zoom education is easy and provides quite a good bit of useful information. They provide a pretty simple course that is very easy to complete if you can show up on time every week. The staff are all very helpful and all a pleasure to work with. People complain ALOT about the late fees for missing classes or the way the program is run, it is a state audited program so they have to follow the rules and guidelines set by the state. If you show up on time like you would have to for practically any other meeting in your life it is very easy and you don’t have to pay any additional fees.

My experience with Zona Seca has been overall positive. They are a non-profit, not charging for any sort of gain, the fees are there to help control some of the chaos of having to constantly reschedule, etc. There is a wait time to get in, so why would they cater to people who aren't going to do what is needed. The people that work there truly care and want to help. Sometimes that means saying things people don't want to hear, which is another reason I'm sure they get such bad reviews. Yes they are strict about missing classes/rescheduling, but the rules are made VERY clear from the beginning. For those complaining about fees, maybe you should have read the contract when you enrolled?

New House is a structured recovery residence for men, located in Santa Barbara, California. The program also provides valuable community resources, mental health services, case management, and community referrals. Addiction-related services offered at New House Street include counseling, peer support, recovery meetings, employment and legal service
I recently had the privilege of staying at New House 2, a sober house dedicated to helping individuals transition into a life of sobriety and personal growth. My experience at New House 2 has been nothing short of transformative, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on how this remarkable establishment fosters a sense of unity and helps residents break free from the clutches of ego. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and compassion by the dedicated staff members who truly understand the challenges of addiction recovery. The environment at New House 2 is incredibly supportive, fostering a sense of camaraderie among residents. This emphasis on teamwork is what sets this sober house apart from others. One of the core principles emphasized at New House 2 is the importance of being a team player. Through various activities and group meetings , residents are encouraged to work together, support one another, and celebrate each other's successes. This collaborative approach creates an atmosphere of unity and shared responsibility, reminding us that we are not alone on this journey. New House 2 also recognizes the detrimental effects of ego on the recovery process. Ego can hinder personal growth and prevent individuals from fully embracing their sobriety. The staff at New House 2 are well-versed in addressing these challenges and provide invaluable guidance to help residents focus on self-reflection, accountability, and letting go of ego-driven behaviors. Living at New House 2, I quickly learned that the path to lasting sobriety is paved with humility, empathy, and a willingness to learn from others. The housemates I shared this experience with became an extended family, offering unwavering support and genuine friendship. Together, we discovered the true power of teamwork, as we celebrated each other's triumphs and lifted each other up during challenging times. The facilities at New House 2 are excellent, providing a safe and comfortable living environment conducive to healing and personal growth. The staff members are not only compassionate and knowledgeable but also serve as role models, leading by example and demonstrating the importance of being a team player. They create an atmosphere where residents feel encouraged to step out of their comfort zones, build meaningful relationships, and contribute positively to the recovery community. In conclusion, New House 2 is a beacon of hope for those seeking a transformative sober living experience. The emphasis on teamwork and the dedication to helping individuals shed their egos is truly commendable. If you're looking for a sober house that prioritizes personal growth, community support, and the development of essential life skills, I wholeheartedly recommend New House 2. Your journey to sobriety will be met with compassion, understanding, and the invaluable gift of learning to be a team player and embracing a life free from ego.

Pretty much saved my life. I moved to Santa Barbara from Bakersfield looking for a sober living house and to be closer to my sponsor. I Googled and visited about 4 sober living places and after visiting several, New House 2 was the choice I was and still am happy I chose. It's a 12 step House where the really focus on sobriety. Working a program and getting a sponsor is something very important here. The food is great and the brotherhood is great as well. I've met alot after guys here that really make this alot easier then I thought. Don't get me wrong. I was a little nervous making the transition. But after a day or so, I'm very much pleased to say. I went to Evolve Ojai back in February of this year. I had never been in a residential treatment center and I was really nervous, however I did go voluntarily. My experience wasn’t terrible. There were pros and cons for sure, these were: Pros: Really good food Outings were fun If you were level 3 and above, you could go on off site visitations with your family Cons: Leveled me down on my last week while I had been withdrawing from two meds (Abilify and Zoloft) Made me sit through an intense PTSD flashback and didn’t let me do anything to distract myself (it was to practice a skill, but i really needed help and i felt very distressed) Tried to punish me and make me stay an extra week for feeling suicidal after leveling me down Didn’t really do much when another kid was making me feel uncomfortable by making me feel overstimulated But it was not a very bad experience. I’ve been to two residential treatment centers (both evolve) and this one was definitely the best one I’ve been to.

My son had a great experience here. The team is stellar and treated him like he was their own family. We had a few rough days and they were amazing with keeping me in the loop and making sure to carry out my wishes. He was diagnosed within the first month of what his mental health issues were and they treated him according to what they thought was best for him. They gave us a lot of materials for us to educate us about his disorder, and educated him on what it meant and how to move forward.

I’ve been going to aegis since August 2024. I’ve been through a few counselors and have met so many of the staff, all of who I absolutely adore. They’ve watched me grow into a person who I never thought I could be, and took the time out of their busy schedules to make sure I was okay when I missed dosing due to a deeply personal issue. Richard at the dispensary window has always advocated for me and I actually look forward to going in. With every business, you can’t please everyone but they do try. Please remember that the front desk staff can’t change the rules and are treated horribly day in and day out. Please give them a little grace.

I'm fairly new to this clinic and use both SM and Lompoc clinic. I've read most every review, some good some not so good, I believe there is always room for improvement and growth, as for the reviews that really put down the clinic and the staff including the doctor, I would remind anyone reading this that most of the folks that show up here aren't exactly on they're A game right? That's why I'm here, to try and improve myself and my life. At this point in my life I have zero business being critical of others when I'm scrambling to hold together the remaining broken pieces of what I call a life back together.. so I respectfully would caution anyone who reads the not so good reviews to keep the former into consideration. To some of us this is a life and death choice. Don't let someone who's demonstrating their unjustifiable anger keep you from trying to make a positive choice in your life. I've had no problems with staff or any of the doctors. It's not a social club . Its a chance to change where my best thinking got me. Good luck, best wishes on your journey.....

I have been a recovery advocate for former professional athletes for many years . Part of that job requires me to select treatment programs that are well suited for their often complex needs. Finding good programs that truly understand addiction/dual diagnosis issues that are often complicated by cognition and brain trauma issues was a nearly impossible. Then the NFL Alumni connected me to Pure Recovery California. The Pure Recovery programs , which are for everyone not just athletes are remarkable. Their approach to treating addiction as a brain disease and their advanced neuroscience programs are real game changers. The facility is beautiful and the expert medical team is outstanding. The results for the athletes that I personally know and work with that have been through the program are just amazing , life changing and lifesaving. I will continue to recommend Pure Recovery California and their outstanding programs to athletes and others who are in need of recovery programs.

Genesis has played a pivotal role in creating a safe and supportive environment for my sister to get the help she needed. It is through this program that I have witnessed her true core values start to realign and her willingness to rededicate herself in discovering her true and authentic self without the use of substances. From the friendly front desk coordinator, to the empathetic counselors, and staff I can't say enough good things about this program. Genesis is a great option for individuals who need an outpatient program to integrate into after residential treatment, if you’re struggling with alcohol/drug misuse, or you are substance dependent and would benefit from structure and accountability. Their program uses best based practices and they do a great job at tailoring treatment plans to an individuals own unique and personal needs. The individual and group counseling were always super helpful and the staff truly want to see you succeed. They offer a friends and family night which was very critical in re establishing trust and ongoing support from those close to you in your life. In addition, they have a strong after care community in which you are encouraged to be apart of after completing treatment. If you have the pleasure of conversing with the owner Athena, be sure to pick her brain as she is very knowledgeable in the field of treatment and addiction. It is from my experience she is attentive and does an appreciable job at reflecting meaning within her conversations. Her superb counseling skills and expertise in the field really motivate her clients to find it within themselves to make positive steps towards change. She has helped me overcome a variety of struggles in life and has been instrumental in my ongoing journey. Through out my time at Genesis, it is clear that Athena and her team are people who truly care about the individuals and families they serve and are dedicated to making the community a healthier and safer place. I would highly recommend Genesis!

I was placed there through a court-related situation, and I appreciated being there rather than in a juvenile detention setting. During my time, the staff were supportive and maintained a calm and structured environment. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience was the connections I built with both staff and peers. I developed positive relationships and shared good memories with the people there in a supportive setting. Overall, I am grateful for my time there and the experiences I had in that environment.

I've known Mark for what seems like forever. As a child I loved spending my hours at Mark-gil's home. We spent days playing Halo and Guitar hero as we bonded and became two peas in a pod. Mark being my best friend is an under-statement. I can honestly say that he has become the brother I never wanted. I highly recommend YOU consider taking the time to visit Mark's house and possibly meet your future brother.

Great organization. The director Scott Snowbarger has been a counselor for many years, is a professional and just generally a good human being. The houses are well appointed, nice and I especially like their large meeting spaces. One of the property's has a nice orchard with a large avacado Tree. Us girls try and pillfer their avacados when we go to the open meetings there. The structure of the program and the vibe is good!

Good services and personnel are knowledgeable. No coffee machine, no phone charging outlet, no water fountain for the long parent wait! But at least my parent/child emotional relationship is 🤪 highly recommended.
