I was scared to even ask for help, but they made me feel safe and respected. The outpatient schedule worked with my family needs, which helped a lot. Staff were kind and patient every time. I just wish there were more cultural or language support for people like me.
About YWCA Northeast Indiana
The YWCA’s Northeast Indiana division can be found in northern Fort Wayne, Indiana, in the neighborhood of Ludwig Park. Here, the YWCA offers several unique programs aimed at helping women overcome various types of struggles they may face. These include access to domestic and sexual violence counseling, ways for women in need to further their education and a comprehensive addiction treatment program.
Restoring Hope With Their Addiction Recovery Program
Their addiction recovery program is a CARF accredited residential program for adult women (18 and older) living with a substance use disorder (SUD). In this setting, they provide opportunities for exercise, round the clock support for all residents and also give each resident a customized care plan. Across the program’s three phases, they’ll help you lay a foundation for recovery (with 6 weeks of incredibly focused counseling), help you mend and build relationships and give you the tools needed to become self-sufficient.
Depending on your needs, your care plan could include access to Narcotics Anonymous meetings, connection with resources and social services in the community and cooperation with judicial personnel or a probation officer. One of this program’s best features is that they’ve designed it with family reunification in mind. They can offer additional relevant services to pregnant women and mothers who are looking for ways to reconnect with their families.
Equipping You For A Better Future
Another great feature is that your case manager will work with you to help you find employment or make an employment plan. This approach helps you take responsibility for your future in a very practical way. Some of the YWCA’s other services can also help you further your education and may even be able to offer a scholarship to help you achieve that goal after recovery.
