About YOUTH TOWN

Youth Town of Tennessee is Christ-centered addiction recovery center in Pinson, Tennessee. They provide residential treatment for teens struggling with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. This includes boys and girls aged between 13 to 17. The facility is situated in a sprawling 250-acre plot of land just outside Jackson’s and boasts an 18 acre lake. This lake offers a peaceful environment for reflection, relaxation and outdoor activities. This reduces stress and promotes mental wellbeing during recovery.

Upon admission, you’ll be housed in either the dorm or cottage. Each is properly equipped with modern amenities to ensure comfort during recovery. On staff chefs provide balanced three square meals daily following guidelines set by the FDA for school cafeterias. The program is Joint Commission accredited. This means they met the highest standard for superior quality and individualized care.

Their clinical services are rooted in proven therapeutic practices including individual, group and family therapy. This facilitates personalized support, strengthens relationships and fosters peer connections essential for successful recovery. Their care personnel are grounded in individualized care through evidence based interventions. They’re also experts in faith-based care and exist to help you find hope and healing through Christ’s unconditional love as you embark on a journey of sobriety and healthy living.

The program lasts for 120 days. Upon completion, you can transition into their outpatient program. This typically involves assessment, treatment planning and counseling. If you don’t want their outpatient care then their therapist can help you find appropriate care for ongoing treatment.

Youthtown saved my granddaughters life. The people are there for the well being of the children. They take such good care of the kids and keep the parents informed all along the way. If It wasn't for them I know I would have lost my grandaughter. Thank you so much.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive care without leaving their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically receive intensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Many programs promote clients' long-term sobriety through recovery-focused life skills training and ancillary services, such as peer coaching. Medication assisted treatment (MAT), including medication induction and maintenance, are common in outpatient care. Most facilities offer multiple levels of care to accommodate clients' evolving needs, including intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient programming.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When your day-to-day life is taken over by drug use, this is known as substance use disorder. If you abruptly stop using your drug of choice, you experience withdrawal symptoms. To overcome this cycle, professional drug rehab in Tennessee is usually needed.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

I've been calling for over a month with no answers for any of my questions. The woman who answers the phone seems uninterested in helping and it sounds more like I'm bugging her then anything else, she's not very professional. This place dropped the ball with aftercare for my son.

My family was under the impression that my little brother had been court ordered to Youthtown as part of a plea. The juvenile court liaison told us we would have weekly teleconferences and we would have regular access to him including home visits and bu-weekly visits with him at Youthtown. They called out of the blue on around 9AM on a Saturday, 4 days before we were told to bring him, and said he had to be checked in by 2:00.It was 3 weeks before anyone heard from him. And several more before the first zoom call with the counselor. I think a total of 3 in 90 days. My brother told me on our first conversation that he was seeing his therapist for an hour a week. That s it. He (a 16 year old) said he wasn t getting the help he needed. His phone calls home were monitored to prevent him from speaking is my guess.Youthtown will not provide information when my mother calls. Exactly how does a non-profit bill insurance companies for court ordered imprisonment? This place is a farce and a scam.
