WTG was a safe haven and helped me get my life back! Trust the process and you will see the results! The intake process was quick and easy. The forms could be filled out online as well as payment setup. I received the scheduling call a week earlier than promised which was a great sign and the scheduler was exceptional at listening to my concerns and matching me with a provider based on my needs.I was looking for a specialist that had experience with neurodiversity, chronic illness, and complex trauma and was lucky enough to match with Jennie Polizzi, a partner at the group. Jennie and I discussed her background and extensive list of qualifications and certifications in different therapeutic techniques. Her passion and commitment to learning new techniques really came through in our first session. I explained that I was apprehensive about starting therapy again because I felt forced to do a lot of techniques that weren t helping me with my last therapist at a different group. She assured me that we would find what worked for me and helped me feel confident going into my first official session. It s been about 3 months, and my time with WTG is some of the most cherished time of my week. Jennie is an attentive listener and goes above and beyond to make sure you feel like you are seen and heard and validated. She will send you resources if you need them but not force you to do homework which I love as a person with a busy lifestyle. She is open to feedback if you are apprehensive about trying a therapeutic technique and helps guide you through every step of the process. In a short amount of time, Jennie has changed my life in such a dramatically positive way.I found my self saying I m happy last week for the first time in years and it brought tears of joy to my eyes.If you are considering starting therapy or starting therapy again, I cannot recommend WTG enough. Therapy is a process and an investment into your life and you could not have anyone better on your team.

I contacted Woodbridge in search of a therapist with expertise in my specific concerns, and their intake coordinators repeatedly assured me they had at least two therapists who could meet my needs. The intake process was lengthy and, at one point, I was told my insurance didn t cover their services. It turned out they had called the wrong company. Despite this, I invested over two weeks in the intake process, trusting there was a therapist who specialized in my needs. When it came time to schedule, one of the therapists admitted they did not have the expertise to provide the appropriate support something I deeply appreciated, as it showed professional honesty.I was then assured that Jenni Polizzi definitely had the knowledge and experience I was looking for. However, during our 15-minute introductory session, Jenni made it clear that she doesn t specialize in any particular area but rather takes a generalist approach. While that might work for some, it was not suitable for the specialized care I needed.Despite my initial concerns, I tried to remain hopeful. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that her knowledge was lacking. She was unfamiliar with common terms related to my diagnosis, and her insights suggested a surface-level understanding of my condition at best.A comparable scenario would be a therapist specializing in bipolar disorder not knowing the term manic. Further conversations during our initial session, followed by emails, revealed her lack of understanding regarding other neurodivergences, leaving me increasingly uncomfortable. I decided to cancel our next session and did the work of offering constructive (and kindly worded) feedback explaining why.Her response was to double down on her expertise and use therapeutic language in an attempt to invalidate my concerns. What s especially troubling is that Jenni Polizzi is the Partner Director and COO of the practice. As someone who is part of multiple groups that struggle to find appropriate, informed, and safe care, this experience not only caused harm but the refusal to acknowledge or take accountability for that harm was concerning enough to warrant this review. The red flags only became apparent once I was in-session with the provider. If you need specialized support or belong to a marginalized community, proceed with caution.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients who are in early recovery, leaving detox, or experiencing a crisis often require the intensive treatment of an inpatient rehab facility. Clients in inpatient care receive robust clinical supervision, housing, and meals, allowing them to focus exclusively on their recovery while they stabilize. The primary treatment modalities used in most inpatient centers include extensive addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Many drug rehabs also offer holistic therapies, such as music, art, fitness, and experiential therapies.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Virginia features a highly trained team of professionals to treat your physical, mental, and emotional needs. Doctors and nurses are available to prescribe and administer medications. Psychologists and counselors provide professional counseling. Other experts such as nutritionists and addiction specialists may also offer support. This 24/7, comprehensive care is designed to give you the support you need to begin a successful recovery.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Virginia is a short term form of talk therapy. Participants usually have homework between sessions, which may include journaling, self talk, and setting SMART goals. The aim is to transform negative thought patterns into positive ones.

For those experiencing mental health challenges, including substance use disorder, dialectical behavior therapy in Virginia offers an evidence based method of treatment. This therapy teaches skills for emotional regulation and interpersonal relations so you can break free from negative patterns.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational interviewing in Virginia allows clients to examine their lives and consider their options. It is particularly useful if the client lacks confidence in their ability to change or is feeling uncertain about their desire to change.

Trauma therapy helps you understand and manage the emotional and physical responses that often follow witnessing or experiencing traumatic events. Using therapeutic interventions, your therapist works with you to reframe that experience, which in turn reduces your anxiety and helps you regain control over your life.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Edit 3: I left a review on their Facebook page and they blocked meEdit: because of this review, they said they are unable to work with us. Avoid this group at all costI have been trying to talk to one therapist. She sent me to this group to start the process. So I call. Rude af when I told them I was self pay. Then I get insurance and call again. Rude again, but sends me the paperwork and says once it's in, the insurance will be verified in 7-10 business days. I wait about 8 business days and call just to check in. Turns out the morons who run admin never sent it in. I'm only continuing to deal with these clowns because the therapist I want to work with works with themEdit: they called me after and were so upbeat and friendly when they saw I left a review

The front desk staff is beyond incredible. I sit for periods of time in the waiting area and listen to the lengths they go to in order to assist patients. The doctors and therapist are also great. We've made great strides here. Very thankful we found them.

Therapist told me I was paying in full every visit...6 months later received a bill... first bill received and its 90 days over due... smh. Receptionist couldn't explain the bill. I never paid it or received further bills. Therapist also gave me a book to read on second page it encouraged you to act on suicide, that was my last visit.

Stay away. Poor, unprofessional service from the beginning. I wouldn t recommend. Here s why.I had to call several times to follow up regarding scheduling. Then when I did schedule I specifically asked if I had a copay/deductible. I was told no I did not. Shocked, I asked again and the scheduler said it shows here (presumably a computer) that I do not have any. So I scheduled. When I arrived for my first appointment no copay or deductible was mentioned. Then when I arrived for my second appointment I was told that I had to pay toward a deductible. The only explanation I received was that no one verified my insurance. As they slid me a bill for my first appointment I asked am I responsible for this bill given that I was misinformed by a staff member and they said yes. I paid and left. But this is bad business, it is deceptive and shady. Who s to say that wasn t intentional just to get me in.I would not recommend doing business with them. The therapist was standing right there. How can I receive therapy which involves recognition and ownership of ones issues, responsibility, accountability and correction from a therapist or therapy group that doesn t do the same with their business practices.Being a realtor, if I misinformed a client and it cost them money, they d be asking for some of my commission. So I hold myself to a high standard, this business clearly does not. Stay away.

They charge WELL OVER your pt responsibility every visit. When you ask for a refund they WILL NOT give your money back. This company is garbage and engage in FRAUD. The FTC can bring charges against them and get everyone s money back. The BBB do nothing. As a parent, it feels like they are taking advantage of my child. STAY AWAY!
