About Wings of Life Recovery

Wings of Life Recovery is a faith based addiction treatment center that offers a 90 day residential program for adults in Mobile, Alabama, The program is designed for those who want to overcome addictions through spiritual renewal and self discovery. The facility doesn’t offer medical drug detox or medical services, so they do not accept insurance.

This addiction treatment center offers a residential program based on Biblical principles. Individuals who join this program will spend 90 days learning more about the Bible, the community at Wings of Life, important life skills, and career opportunities in the area.

The facility offers pastoral counseling, mentoring, and personal ministry opportunities. Wings of Life has also partnered with several programs in the area that can help residents with ongoing financial, educational and vocational training.

One thing that sticks out about this facility is the impact of having real solid community support. The program aims to develop each person’s unique character, build discipline, and instill lasting morals into each individual. Even more so, they also offer help that can change the course of a person’s life. Graduates have access to job placement services, continuing educational opportunities and more support for reentering the workforce. Graduates who are interested in using their own testimony to help others may be eligible for ministry training programs, too.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehab is designed primarily for clients who do not require intensive clinical supervision. This includes clients who are exiting detox or inpatient care. Outpatient treatment typically involves addiction counseling, recovery education, and life skills training. These programs encompass varying levels of care, including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), standard outpatient (OP), and sober living/halfway house programs. Each category is defined by the frequency and intensity of treatment.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Alabama provides medical or psychotherapeutic treatment for drug dependency. Methods of treatment often include a combination of medication, counseling, and recreational therapies.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Yeah, they let visitors on Wednesdays and Sundays. However, only if they are your immediate family. So if you don't have any immediate family around, you are all alone. So unfair

My experience with the Wings of Life was life transforming. I have personally experienced the power of God through my time there. I have gained a family through the leaders that will keep me forever grateful. They are compassionate and care about your life and want to be there to be Gods vessel in transforming us through the word and help to deliver us from our addictions and bad behavior all around. There is not enough good things I can say about this place. The recovery program is centered around sustaining self worth and obtaining recovery and coping skills needed in life to have a joyful, better life full of Gods promises. If you are an addict sick and tired of being sick and tired they is no other place I would recommend. Now they have always been for family restoration and they now offer a place for that you can rebuild your relationships with your children and spouses. It s a community of like minded people all wanting a needing a change. The leaders are superior. If you are not a believer or not sure where you stand this is where you should be for change. The go over and the word and I found out that God is real and exists here. The anointing this place carry s is supreme. You feel the presence of the Holy Spirit apon arrival. I could go on and on I love the Wings they will always hold my heart forever.

If I could give a million stars then I would My husband, myself, and our 3 small children came into this program broken and in desperate need for a change but not even sure if it was possible, we had no clue the work that God was waiting to do in our minds and hearts during our stay! Throughout our program we did a christian 12 step program, one on one christian counseling, marriage counseling, and deliverance counseling. The pastor s and leaders are the true hands and feet of Jesus. They give their life to this ministry to see people saved and set free and walking in their purpose! There s no other place like it. Amazing place & amazing people.

Wings of Life Recovery is no ordinary addiction treatment facility. It is a total restoration of mind, body and soul. You become part of a family here with no judgement and genuine help. They are one of the only treatment facilities in the country, to provide resources and living quarters for marital couples; even with children, so families can have the opportunity to reconcile; after addiction has destroyed significant relationships and even taken the lives of so many loved ones. Millions of people struggle with addiction on a daily basis, I pray that if you or someone you know needs help, you will receive the gift of healing and recovery. Call The Wings of Life Today. It is a life changing opportunity. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Through my time at the Wings my family has been restored I have so many things that I know I can accomplish now because here at the Wings they don t tell you what you can t do they tell you what you can do.
