outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Well I have read the negative reviews and I am shocked that some people are experiencing such behavior and events. Unfortunately some people power trip and cause more suffering and pain instead of what they are supposed to do which is follow the Mission Statement and actually get to know people and listen to their stories and actually help. I'm praying for these situations to change. I hope that everyone touched by this situation ends up with a good resolution.Having said all that.... My personal experience working with this agency in the Recovery Employment Program has been excellent! My first worker Joe was really good and is such a sweet and kind person. I wasn't in the best mental shape to actually make all the meetings and do what needed to be done. That was not his fault at all and I commend him always where ever he went to. I have worked with his supervisor Dan and again an excellent person who is knowledgeable, compassionate, empathetic and encouraging. He helped me with my resume and my job search and gave me thoughtful advice. My current caseworker Maria I cannot speak more highly of. She is smart, compassionate, empathetic, kind, an awesome listener and brings me information that I didn't know about and helps me understand different programs. She literally helped me with my major anxiety and mental health problems with her listening to my story and gently encouraging me to press on. I would not be this much better without her help along with my excellent therapist from Alepix and my Pastor at church and my best friends in and out of Recovery. And I am possibly going to be homeless again and I have had greatgreat pain in my life and major negative crisis moments involving homelessness and legal issues and financial problems and I still have problems. So I'm NOT sitting pretty and everything is awesome right now but it's better than where I was 8 months ago. And that was a lot of work.So in my experience I have been treated with respect, compassion, encouragement, and direction. All of which are essential as part of a recovery strategy.I cannot speak for other departments and how they treat people. I do hope if there are problems they actually try to fix them and behave honorably as they should because people in trouble put their hope and faith in them and that should be treated with the utmost seriousness. Peace.

I was staying at WCA's halfway house in Mount Pleasant with few issues for about two years. I would walk to the store to get an energy drink, but the neighbors had their dogs off leash and they were barking at me agressively. I asked them to remedy the situation. The next time I passed by to the store, the neighbor claimed that the sidewalk was his property and began harassing me. I went to the local police and they were no help. I told my housing manager about the issue, and she was angry with me about my behavior for some reason I still cannot understand. After that, my roomate told me that someone showed up on the porch with a bandana over his face claiming to belong to the Pagans' motorcycle gang, and he told me that they said if I ever double crossed them again that they were going to kill me. I am almost certain it was one of the neighbors or one of their friends. I didn't know what to do because both the police and housing manager blamed me for the problem and I was soon after evicted for "unrelated" reasons after this incident.

If you are looking to work here. Don't. The agency is a clique and it's all about that and not about helping the community. They will entice you with the time off but that is really the only benefit. At all costs avoid working the mental health programs. You will be miserable, anxious, and hate your job. Our program was taken out due to staffing and before any of us could use our time off they closed early and refused to pay us what we were alloted. They did this to 4 separate employees. I also was not able to retrieve my belongings from my office and still have yet to get them after a month.
