About Faith Farm Christian Residential Treatment Center

Faith Farm Ministries is a faith based recovery facility in Okeechobee, Florida. They employ a self described "rural model" where clients work on a 400 acre ranch as part of treatment. The program exclusively serves male adults. At the core of the program are Christian principles and education, which inform their levels of care, including inpatient treatment and aftercare services. The surrounding natural amenities, including acres of wetlands, create a serene setting where clients can focus on themselves and recovery.

Inpatient care sees clients living on the Faith Farm campus for the duration of treatment, which typically lasts for 10 months. This setting provides you with 24 hour care and clinical support as you begin your recovery journey. You’ll be closely monitored by staff who’ll chart progress and provide ongoing guidance. Because it is a working ranch, those enrolled in the program will also engage in daily operations, which take on many forms. They have the capacity to accommodate 90 clients at a time.

On site work adds a greater level of structure to treatment and helps foster work ethic and personal responsibility, two principles important to the program. In addition to recreation, the program provides therapy, life skill coaching, and spiritual teaching and support. Treatments follow a college-accredited recovery curriculum.

Recovery is an ongoing, life long process whose success benefits from extensive support. While you’ll leave the program with the skills needed to lead a sober life, you’ll have ongoing support from Faith Farm. Staff will help prepare clients with a fully developed aftercare plan that establishes important goals and connections with community resources to assist on the continuing path of recovery. Those who complete the program can return for the Advanced Student program. Alumni work and act as support for other students while continuing their own education.

While staying at Faith Farm, you’ll experience many opportunities for interaction with the local community. For example, they may play a role in operating the Faith Farm thrift store in downtown Okeechobee. Such opportunities provide more opportunities for them to utilize the skills learned during treatment.

Faith Farm Ministries is a not for profit organization that survives on charitable donations and gifts. Applicants do not require insurance or other financing to attend. However, providers may make referrals to local, community providers for additional medical services or psychiatric support. If this occurs, those entities may be in-network with most private insurance plans. Ask your individual provider to verify your coverage as out of network benefits could vary.

I left faith Farm today because I was treated like a child and or criminal by staff members and sls team there. The rules ,regulations, and curriculum there are very similar to prison. I know this because I did 18 months in a Georgia minimum security prison. I left because God told me to. Already in less than 10 hours now have a 400,000 dollar home PAID for in Port st.lucie fla. While they were saying I was heading back to a Crack pipe and putting me down.

If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

A family member of mine went here to get help and was kicked out for saying it was cult like. They make you write 3 bad things weekly about your bunk mates. And if you interpret the Bible differently than them you are wrong! This is supposed to be a place to find god and learn how to live a clean life. I do not recommend this place to anyone! Please find a better place to be accepted!

Disgusting customer service from intake representative NIKKICalling to get my brother some help and needed some information, the first words out of his mouth is "why isn't he calling this is not a good look", is this a place to get help or a place of judgement?? I replied, yes he wants me to get this information because as I am sure you are aware, people in his state of being requires help and support from others. He continued to pass judgement. When I was obviously upset he simply told me "now I do not want to help you and he will have to call directly", and proceeded to hang up on me. Absolutely disgusting, you should have people working that are compassionate for these issues. This is a place of god? HIGHLY DISAGREE. I would like management to call me ASAP regarding this

I've seen faith farm and if you wish for your child to get better and grow a better relationship with God while also growing and becoming ready to become and active contributing member to society this is not the place to go. They claim they believe in God but I did not feel his spirit during church service. The pastors clearly are not led by God but by their own will and understanding. What they say is considered law, when the word should be considered law. Most members are in and out and the only success stories come from those who never left the bubble of faith farm. Also its important to note that the education level of the members is low and there are a lot of holes in their logic when it comes to how they teach. They use double speak and expect program members to be blindly obedient. If your child is there I hope they get the help they need.

I found Jesus/GOD... But I lost myself. I just work and make good decisions. Help others and humble myself. Don't acknowledge anyone who is being disrespectful. But my old humor and mentality has changed and I am how God's Child should be. I Love , Forgive, Enjoy Life regardless on how it's turning out. Amen

More of a cult atmosphere where "patients" are locked away from society and work aroumd the clock just to sleep on cots. The facility opens mail and sends back letters as PERSON NO LONGER LIVES HERE...( Can't be legal) so now your wondering if your loved one is alive or not. They give patients " family members" rights only even though as a girlfriend you were the one helping him to get better. BTW sistet stabbed someone in the eye w a screwdriver, emptied accounts and wished her brother dead.. But SHE IS ALLOWED TO VISIT
