About Wellness Center Of Palm Beach

Wellness Center of Palm Beach was an alcohol and drug rehab center for adults in West Palm Beach, Florida. They’re permanently closed, but they used to offer detox, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and general outpatient programs. They accepted self payment and private insurance.

Something I found interesting about this facility is the flexible schedule they offered. Their office was open Monday through Saturday and they provided services during the day or night for partial hospitalization patients. All three levels of outpatient services included individual, family and group counseling sessions and educational groups.

The topics they discussed centered on helping you achieve overall wellness and long term recovery. They didn’t want to focus just on your addiction itself, but also on the underlying psychological issues that might be hiding beneath it. They’d talk about how substance use could affect your family and social relationships and even lead to medical and legal problems down the road. Then they’d show you healthier ways to cope with stress and handle life’s problems so you could avoid a relapse.

One person who went through this program called it the best of the best. Another said they liked the unique structure of the services and finally made real progress there.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex & Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA). The 12-Step Recovery program is a most popular and well-known treatment program. The 12-step approach to recovery has been very successful in helping those dealing with addiction to alcohol or drugs. Wellness Center of Palm Beach’s specialists will guide clients through the 12 steps in our nurturing and healing environment. The facility brings AA and NA meetings to theit treatment center, and they provide transportation to AA and NA meetings outside of their center, as well.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person’s mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Wellness Center of Palm Beach is a dual diagnosis-friendly rehab facility. Their expert staff understands the special needs of those who suffer from co-occurring disorders of mental illness and addiction issues and treat both using cutting-edge methodologies and counseling strategies.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

art-brush iconCreative Arts Therapy

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. Family Programs for substance abuse are a part of Wellness Center of Palm Beach’s comprehensive treatment programs for adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults. The family education programs help families and patients understand the emotional consequences of addiction, the recovery process and the impact of addiction on the family.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

This place literally saved my life, my therapist felt as if she was my best friend, and the staff as a whole felt like my family. The only place in Florida where you feel completely taken care of while offering confidential groups learning why we as addicts do the things weDo and where it all stems from. I've learned so much. Coming to the wellness center detoxed me slowly, and taught me lessons I won't ever forget. If you're not readyTo quit, the wellness center will help build that willingness to quit. I owe my everything to this amazing place

3 months after getting out of a 30 day treatment center I bounced around from detox to halfway searching for a place that would be conducive to my recovery. I finally found a place where I feel I can progress and achieve real sobriety. Their program is excellent and I like the unique structure of the program. The facilities are top notch and staff is the best I've encountered. The staff truly cares, they dont just want your insurance money. Sal and house manager John are two of the most wonderful people I have met, and the fact that they work here is a blessing. This is the exact place I have been searching for to allow me to build a strong foundation for recovery and I can see myself achieving long term sobriety through this program.

This place is honestly the best of the best. The staff genuinely cares about your recovery and does everything in their power to make sure every person's individual needs are met. I have not had one bad experience while I've been here and encourage all who want help and want to stay sober to come to this place because it's the one place that not only keeps you sober, but takes you out on activities, holds groups to teach you coping skills, defense mechanisms, and healthy alternatives to using. I love this place with all my heart and wouldn't prefer to be at any other place. If you want or need to stop using, the Wellness Center of Palm Beach is the place for you. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be here and if you want recovery, this is the place to be. Everyone is amazing here and I wouldn't trade this place for anything in the world. With the help of this place, I finally know that I can stay sober.
