Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Welcome to Life is an amazing place to get sober. I had tried for many years, but the way this house is structured really worked for me. I have been able to change my life dramatically and began to live in a way I did not know was possible. Through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous I am able to live responsibly and happy. Welcome to Life is a great place to come if you are trying get sober. Thankyou Welcome to Life.

I was a 58 year old man when I hit rock bottom because of alcohol. Stayed 14 days at Aurora Charter Oak treatment center. They suggested that I live in a sober living environment for at least 90 days and to try Alcoholics Anonymous 12 step program for the solution to my problem. They had several places to choose from. On 08/21/14 I chose Welcome to Life because of its close proximity to the San Gabriel Alano Club where they have Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.Upon entering Welcome to Life management went over the rules and regulations with me they were direct and concise and seemed to have genuine concern for me to remain sober. They (management) were strict but caring with me in all my interactions with them.I did as suggested got a sponsor and worked all 12 steps, through this process I was able to make amends with my family. I'm currently a member of Alcoholics Anonymous in good standing. Welcome to Life is not the Hilton, but, if your serious about your addiction issues this is a good place for you to start.

I have battled addiction with opiates for 10 years & amphetamines for 8 years. Before I came into welcome to life my family wouldn't speak to me, I had no healthy relationships & no where to go to get my life back. The structure that is available here along with the management saved my life & has helped me come to a safe environment with others achieving the same thing I am which is too remain sober & continue on my path in recovery.

This is the real deal if you are serious about your recovery and are willing to be held accountable. What sets this sober house apart from others in my opinion is that the staff actually cares about its tenants. Also the rent is is more than fair and the house is kept very clean.

Best sober living in Covina hands down at least for my own opinion. They were the only one that would take me because the puente house was booked solid. I had to go somewhere and was just getting out of park side west hospital. Jim turner is a great owner and has solid sobriety. He cares and meets with the residents and helps them. If you don t have all the rent, he won t kick you to the curb. Welcome to Life thank you for my month stay. Anthony and house manager Nate have been life savers. Would stay but was blessed with a sponsorship at homes of promises in la Verne. I will definitely be coming back to visit. These guys have helped me and were patient with a person struggling with addiction and mental health. All sober livings have issues, if you want true compassion and real recovery, do yourself a favor and call Jim turner. This guy was overseas and picked up my phone call. 173 days sober, the proof is in the pudding. Thanks WTL, will miss you all, and will be back as a proud alumni!
