The staff was very kind and always left it up to you to answer your own hard questions, which made more of an impact on my life. It wasn't easy at all but it was fantastic. If you are there and really have the desire to get clean and sober this is the perfect place. I did have issues after I left and relapsed but I didnt follow my discharge plan. But I got it together and used the skill i learned there (breathing techniques, being accretive, standing up for myself, all the knowledge about my addiction and that I am powerless) to push through all the distractions and now I am totally clean and sober. I'm feeling great and back in contact with non-using friends and family. There are still things I struggle with but with all the support I have, I get through it. Overall, a very very helpful environment. The staff were incredible, therapists and direct care alike, and I made tremendous personal progress through my stay in the program. The best part of restart is the individualized care and 1 on 1 therapy that every client gets. There's a lot of meeting you where you're at, and working at base level problems, past just the addiction that I found invaluable. The LBP is the program's biggest weakness with how "one size fits all" it appears to be, however I was glad to find that I was able to change it to fit my needs. I just wish that it were written with this in mind, as it feels something like a relic of the past in the current environment of the restart program. Groups are very hit or miss, as they can be very productive and interesting or spiral off into endless tangents based on the clientele and how well the therapist leading it can moderate discussion. The program is also very LGBT friendly, and I met the most supportive and awesome people there, both clients and staff.

I stayed with reSTART at the end of 2013. After graduating college I was confronted with the harsh reality that I didn't have the skills or confidence to take on life.
