I had my first birthing experience Mary Washington s Labor and Delivery unit and I can truly say it was a great experience. My birth didn t go as I planned it but my team made me feel so supported and fully informed every step of the way. I ended up choosing to have a C-section after days of labor and hours of pushing and the on-call OB reassured me it was my choice which I definitely appreciated. I felt well taken care of the whole time. When I made it to the postpartum unit I was met by many wonderful nurses but the one that took care of me and made an impact was Tasha. She gave me tips and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I couldn t recommend Mary Washington Hospital enough for any expecting mom!

It s nice to have somebody to confide in with no judgment. I ve been going for a while, and I believe that s the reason I m still on this earth. I am very grateful for him and very grateful for Savita. I just heard today that this will be the last day that I see Jessica. I don t think the people that run the business side of this understand how losing her will affect the clients that she took care of I owe my life to her and Savita itself and I don t think whoever owns Savita has give a thought to the people that that s going to affect everyone in that office is nothing but kind and caring. I just don t understand.

This was my first time in treatment. Honestly, it completely changed my life. The bonds that I ve made in this place, the sober network I ve built, getting my psych meds right, the entire staff and facilitators- have all been such an extraordinary experience for me. I never understood the difference between just being sober/clean versus actually working a program/recovery. RU has helped me to understand that recovery goes beyond clean time- and it s about changing who you are for the better and continuing to progress as a person overall. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has even the slightest desire to change their life for the better. Gold star all around! AND THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY LIFE!

The McShin Foundation is full of support and resources for those in recovery. They offer an intensive and a sober living program, which the houses themselves are well maintained and comfortable. The program is entirely ran by individuals in recovery, many of whom have been through the same programs themselves. The facility hosts many meetings and groups on a day to day basis. To aid participants and outside recovering individuals with broadening their understanding of recovery and further supporting the community, various trainings, including the Recovery Coach and PRS (Peer Recovery Specialist) are facilitated here. Practically everyone here greets each other and have nothing but love for their community. For both the current participants and alumni, many opportunities and events are hosted by McShin to keep everyone connected and assist in building a network. Their work goes outside of the programs. They visit jails to spread hope. Provide outreach. Offer grants to those in need. Have a podcast, which is available to listen to on YouTube and hundreds of correctional facilities. To help educate families, they offer a family group. Families are also welcome to come to community meetings and events to support their loved one(s). It is a very family friendly place in general.
