My journey started there. Many great counselors. A couple of them really should find another career, but nobody is perfect. I still believe they do there best.I urge anyone who is in need of help to call. I am very grateful to them. Addiction is fatal when untreated. The good news is early recovery is temporary as well as painful.Thank you

A Heartfelt Tribute to the McShin Foundation: A Life TransformedThere are moments in life when everything feels lost when hope is but a faint whisper and the strength to keep going seems just out of reach. In those moments, what you need is not judgment, but compassion. What you need is not a handout, but a hand to lift you up. For me, the McShin Foundation has been that hand, that place of compassion and support, and ultimately the reason I am alive and thriving today. The McShin Foundation has done more than help me recover from substance use disorder; they gave me the opportunity to grow and to build a life of meaning, purpose, and connection. They gave me a home not in the sense of four walls, but a community where I could heal, learn, and rediscover the man I was meant to be. They didn t just help me find sobriety; they helped me find myself.Because of McShin s support, I have been able to achieve things that once seemed impossible. Today, I stand as a doctoral candidate, a step in my life I never could have imagined during my struggles. I ve been able to embrace education and personal development in ways that have not only transformed me but have also allowed me to make a difference in the lives of others.Beyond my academic accomplishments, the McShin Foundation has given me the chance to rebuild relationships that matter most. I now have a meaningful connection with my children and grandchildren relationships filled with love, trust, and joy. I am also able to contribute to my community, engaging in social and civic efforts to give back and uplift others, just as McShin uplifted me.The man I am today is a testament to the power of the McShin Foundation. They didn t just help me recover; they helped me grow into a person who can look in the mirror with pride, who can embrace the future with hope, and who can show up for the people and causes that matter most.To everyone at McShin your work is nothing short of life-changing. You have created a space where individuals like me can heal, thrive, and rediscover the beauty of life. For that, I am forever grateful. You have not just saved my life; you have given me the opportunity to truly live it.Thank you for everything. The McShin Foundation will always be more than a part of my story it will always be at the heart of it.

Great atmosphere, great counselors, a little organized kaos , but thats what the real world is too. Patrons helped me every step of the way. I heard a lot of complaining about the food but ive lived off of dollar general and liquids, so i was super pleased to have three well balanced nutritional meals, even if some werent my favorite and no deserts at dinner, so lounge up on graham crackers and oreos.. the absolute best thing about Farley is there alumni app, that links you to all your friends along the way and the amazing fun trips they take like sky diving, headphone concerts, crazy out of state theme parks, conventions, kareokee, and lots more!

The bonds that I ve made in this place, the sober network I ve built, getting my psych meds right, the entire staff and facilitators- have all been such an extraordinary experience for me. I never understood the difference between just being sober/clean versus actually working a program/recovery. RU has helped me to understand that recovery goes beyond clean time- and it s about changing who you are for the better and continuing to progress as a person overall.
