Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients in inpatient rehab reside at the treatment facility while engaging in intensive daily treatment. Inpatient care is primarily designed for clients leaving detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Clients participate in intensive addiction counseling, which may include group and family therapy as well as one-on-one sessions. Recovery-focused life skills training is also often prioritized. Many inpatient rehabs offer evidence-based complementary therapies, such as yoga, meditation, art therapy, and animal therapy.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

To maintain a healthy and productive life, you need certain life skills. They help you make good decisions and build good relationships. Because they are key to long term recovery, most rehab programs in Michigan include integrated life skills training.

I switched clinics here in February and they do not know how to run this place. If your 5 minutes late for doctors appointment and someone comes in that has an appointment 20 minutes after you they will be seen first. Very unprofessional place. I try and say hello in the morning and usually I m greeted with a dirty look no matter howNice I am. I ve been working on detoxing out and they always punch me to go up not down. I have NEVER experienced a methadone clinic like this not even in Detroit. He obviously need more education on the program not just be in it for the money.

I was ready for it to end. You have to get to that point. No one can force u in order for this place to work for you. YOU HAVE TO WANT IT!!! With my will to stop & the help of the victory clinic in lansing, it has saved my life. I am able to hold a job and have meaningful relationships with my loved ones again. I got myself back, but it wasn t easy. You have to put in the work. I am happy to say I am 5 yrs clean!!! And I won t ever to back. EVER! This place is amazing. Sometimes they get super busy and seem short with you but they aren t being rude. They get super busy at times, and want to get everyone in the fastest to get their meds. It took me 3 yrs to find a councilor I fit with. I would suggest using Heather as your councilor!! Dr Warren seriously cares about you and wants what s best for you. She will do everything in her power to help you as long as your doing your part. Lisa the lady who checks u in is also so kind and always ready to help someone. What are u waiting for .Get in this place like yesterday!!!! If your ready they are waiting on YOU!

Unprofessional staff answering the phone. The woman kept talking over me instead of letting me fully explain why I was calling. I repeatedly tried to tell her I was calling on behalf of a client in jail and she said first that they need a release, which makes sense, I tried to ask if they have their own release or if our office release would work and eventually when she stopped talking over me, she said they have their own release but she doesn't have access to it. I asked what time they open on Monday and she said 6 am and then asked me the client's name, I barely got the last name out of my mouth when of course, she talked right over me "said I already got him. I already got him" and then hung up the phone. Terrible terrible customer service from a place that is supposed to provide assistance to the public.

I owe my life to this place!Look if you don't want to work the program, it's not going to work. That's your fault! If you work the program, life will get better. As easy as it was to get on the wrong track, it takes 10 as much WORK to get clean, but god damn is it nice to have things again, a life again, and my real self back.We all mess up, some worse then others, but you can always come back!
