outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The people here help through the recovery although some of the staff can be offensive and rude from time to time. Gets the job done mediocrely so don't care that much about anything else.

Most of the therapists I've met are very nice other than a few that seemed like they just don't know what they're doing. The psychiatrists I've met are pretty bad though.. monotone and just don't seem to care about me as a person, so I feel uncomfortable trying to talk with them to get proper meds. And the receptionists are absolutely awful.. so often I would schedule an appointment just for it to be scheduled for a different day instead and I dont know until day of and there's nothing I can do but try and make another appointment, delaying my time to be seen. Theres also someone with my same last name and they constantly get us mixed up in scheduling despite having my different first name. They also just straight up hung up on me just now when I was trying to call them back after getting a call that they needed to reschedule me.. it just feels very unprofessional

During my internship at Vesta, I had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in the impactful work being done here. I worked with both Jason and Kim who were both very knowledgeable and are amazing guides. I highly recommend to anyone who would like to intern here !

I was referred here by my primary care provider. Unfortunately I never got to actually schedule an appointment because the receptionists were very rude and disrespectful over the phone. On October 10, 2022 I was hung up on in the middle of the conversation. I ve been reaching out to them for the last couple of months with no luck.

Only positive thing were the friendly front desk staff, once I went back to meet for an intake for my child the therapist was unprofessional, uncaring, poor communication. I can go on and on. I spoke to the director I hope a new person doesn't have the experience as I did. I am gling some place else where rge mental health will ne taken seriously and gave better staff than this place.

Its very hot in the building and Ms Andrea called 911 when my fiance and I had an argument then I was taken to med Star where they held me in isolation and force fed me and sent me a bill for twelve thousand dollars. And the psychiatrist there is really rigid. The staff isn't good and they watch you all the time and make you read magazines and color. I am not a child and the experience was traumatic for me I'm still in shock and now have a deep fear of hospitals. Ms lamm very kind to me at Vesta and Ms Andrea apologize but I still can't forget the twelve thousand dollars bill and the screaming from the medstar

Paid $140 for an intake exam since they aren't recognized by commercial insurers. I did this somehow under the impression I would receive some kind of treatment resulting from that exam (e.g. be able to acquire an updated prescription to replace the one that ran out two months ago). This was deeply incorrect. I paid $140 just for someone to spend an hour filling out a form I could have done myself so that I may have the opportunity to pay another $140 for an initial exam with the medication management worker. All of this in search of a refill to a medication I had been prescribed a year ago.Obscenely wasteful use of my time and money. I'll just go without. Spend the next $140 on something that might actually help me like a trip to Six Flags
