Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Was there for 14 days and never saw treatment team a therapist or case worker. It was more like a jail than a treatment center.

From what I saw it's very pretty located and building. My negative was the miscommunication given. No you can not call your child and leaving a message can take up to 24 hrs to get a response. As for the actual purpose for a child being there the only reason a 2 star was given is because the Dr did a good job with meds. Staff need to do a much better job watching over teens. It's fairly described as a hang out. Expect little supervision and more bad behaviors to be picked up from other children. That's the simple broad description.

if I could give 0 stars, I definitely would. it's been almost a month since I've been discharged & after they promised to set me up with a therapist & my PCP, I have gotten 0 calls & absolutely no communication. I had to pester someone until I finally got to talk to the Dr & the therapist. the doctor does nothing but undermine everything you tell him & the only time i talked to my therapist was about discharge. most of the staff didn't seem to care about necessities of the patients & mostly ignored stuff that wasn't completely out of control. I pretty much paid to get medicine put in me, watch TV, & play childlike games in the "group room". the communication in this place is also completely awful. they were telling me one thing, then my fianc told me they were telling her the complete opposite when they actually decided to answer her calls. the "outside time" is literally you in a 10'x10' cage just standing there. this place felt more like a jail than a mental facility & I would definitely not recommend anyone going here for any kind of mental health help.

Dirty. Rude staff. The outside area is smaller than a small child's bedroom. The doctor has to be forced to see you. You are not safe there. I went there a couple of years back and they were terrible to me. The strip search there was dehumanizing and terribly humiliating with inappropriate touching

Went here when I was 12. There were multiple children on the teenager unit. The other patients were pretty cool. The food wasn t horrible and I liked the options to have vegetarian(which was basically just pasta for every meal but it was pretty good). The unit was really dirty tbh. The staff was pretty awesome, especially a staff member who we referred to as mother Theresa who no longer works at this hospital. The staff really didn t have any eyes on us but at the time we kind of liked that. There were multiple patient-patient relationships (one of which was me) and one staff member (won t say a name) let us get away with a lot of affection and we really appreciated that because at the time we were each others only comfort. Most of the nurses were not nice. At one point when there was a unit wide crisis where everyone was either having a panic attack or close to one, a staff member pulled a patient by their arm down a hallway to their room while the patient was having a tic attack due to their Tourette s syndrome, and the staff told the patient to stop faking it . Overall the place sucked but the people and most of the staff were cool.

I got discharged from the meadows 10/03/2024 overall it was better than the last impatient that I was at. The techs on bravo2 are actually the best and I would like to shout Rachel J. , Siarra, Solimar , Candace, Dave, Bailey, Mike, Maralee , and nurse Terry and nurse Sarah They really are good mht s and nurses . They made me feel like I could come out of my shell and talk freely with out judgement. Rachel is actually the best mht out of all of them if they re were a daisy award for the mht s she would definitely get it because not only does she do every aspect of her job correctly she is so caring and nice . And I also would like to shoutout Supervisors Morgan and cheyanne they are the best . I loved being at the meadows.

1: The workers do not know how to work with the patients. Often times they will argue and yell back at you instead of helping you calm down or understand you.2: HIPAA violations. The staff while I was there openly told other patients where another patient lived (their town and city) and told other patients where another patient was going after discharge.3: Unprofessional. Staff was shit talking patients to other patients saying they hated xyz.4: Forced medicine. I was told it is illegal elsewhere, but they can do it. They will pin you down and shoot you up with drugs if you refuse to take a dose of your medicine that day, no matter your reason for not doing so.5: Unclean. They don't clean their showers so it is beat you wear shoes into it.6: Overall jerk of a staff. Some med nurses won't even give you a chance to explain why you can't do what they want (take a flu shot, take meds, etc.) And just walk out going "Okay marking it as refused then." Before you can even finish "because."7: A lot of the staff there when I went (got out yesterday) don't have a degree in nursing. I know this as I asked what the colors of their scrubs meant and black meant you didn't have a degree. The amount of staff in black is outrageous. It outweighs those who aren't. And the non-degree staff can work with your medicine.

I would give them no stars if it was possible! My son has only been here two days and I can t get anyone to return a phone call or an email. We took his stuff the day he was admitted and he has not received anything yet. He has nothing to shower with. So far this has been my worst experience with any psychiatric facility. The nurses don t seem to care about anything either the Night Shift charge. Nurse didn t even hold the phone to her head properly so I could hear her and it was very muffled when I did talk to somebody. But that was it. I only got through to one Nurse one time . This place is a joke. It s obvious that The staff does not give a shit about the clients. I am turning them into the state.
