this place sucks. i'd give it 0 star rating if that was an option! they did not focus on my recovery nor my mental health rather than just read the bible and focus on god. this is NOT the place to be if you want/need to recover with whatever it is you're dealing with. they will tell you to just pray about it and have you literally obey to everything they say and want you to do..what happened to actually focusing on helping someone to bettering themselves?? no medical treatment therapy ir counseling. you're required to read the bible, and if you go against their beliefs or insanely religious strict rules you have to dig a 5x5 hole. you literally have to obey, not wear certain clothes, bc of their religious views..it's very old fashioned. it's a trap. they don't let you be yourself, they made me take all my piercings off. what did that have to do with my recovery journey?? it was hell. i found couldnt be myself without getting in trouble. when i told angie that morning last week and a half ago that i was suicidal she told me to pray about it and sent me back to clean, where there was knives. i felt so hopeless being there. traumatized me and i left. now i'm at a different rehab where they do focus on my journey to recovery and they CARE about their patients. on top of it being FREE here depending on your insurance. it's betty ford rehab in rancho mirage, i would check that out. & F U turn for christ. awful awful place..nowhere near to helping throughout my recovery.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants engaged in 12 step programs receive intensive peer coaching (sponsorship) and community support. Spiritual development as a means of achieving psychological and emotional healing and growth is the cornerstone of 12 step recovery, but religious affiliations are not required. Meetings are free, anonymous, and open to the public, though specialized formats are available, including groups for seniors, teens, and family members. Evening, night, and day meetings are conducted year-round in most communities.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

If you Value your Family member DO NOT send them here. They will demand a nonrefundable donation in the amount of $1200 and insist it is a donation and not a payment because a payment would have to be taxed however donations are not. They take all medications no matter what the medication treats IE Depression, Schizophrenia, infection, Crohn's Disease, High Blood Pressure, ect......when you need the medication you are told to pray for healing. Hungry? Pray that food will be donated to U~Turn . If your loved one dose not conform to their program without question they will load them up into a vehicle and drive off the U~turn property {a few miles in the desert} to a gas station riddled with homeless/addicts and tell them This is where your ride ends. Get out" Doesn't seem to matter if they are minors or have physical or mental disabilities. I could go on and on. Anywhere but here !!

It's like club med only a little harder because you have to surrender your will to God, take up your cross, man up, sissy down, and try to act like the man God intended you to be before we learned how to do life incorrectly. It was one of the best memories and one of the hardest memories all in one but I did it and I completed more than I started out to do. At 60 days, God said nope. It's not time yet. you're not ready. I stayed 6 more months and God said, nope I need time with your wife and family with me out of the way. I stayed 6 more months in a ministry mind frame. I actually didn't want to leave. I was enjoying being someone that actually knew how to help, how to listen, how to care for the hurting addict who I myself was a few short months earlier. God meets us more than halfway if you genuinely seek him, his will, and his sons ways. Highly recommended if your tired of beating your head on that same brick wall that results in the same defeat and pain every time. Stop the cycle and let God teach you how good life can be when we aren't our own worst enemies anymore.

I went to Uturn for 2 months, 1st phase only. I ended up staying the full 8 month program then stayed another 6 months to serve and continue to grow in the Lord.I've been out for almost 2 years now and miss the place. If your serious about working it out thru God's power I encourage you to do it.Not a perfect place, nothing is but it is a place to pull your head together without outside influence. Don't let dope steal your life and happiness. Let go, LET GOD!!

This is such an amazing thrift store. Not only do they help people with the proceeds, but they are a charismatic bunch of employees who care about the customers too. They have furniture, decor, kitchen items, records, clothes, and Amazon returns. It s a hidden gem of a thrift store.

This place is a joke do not send your love ones here for help the living conditions there are definitely the most deplorable situations I have ever seen and the poor animals on the ranch are always sick and dying and they feed you food that is donated by places that are throwing out because its all expired absolutely the most disgusting experience I ve ever been through and I can t forget the bed bug infested beds we had to sleep on very run down and dilapidated I probably would have been in a better situation if I found a dumpster behind a building or something to live in

I was sent unwillingly (at 16), taken across the border from Riverside U-turn and taken to Ensenada. I was treated like a slave and definitely ruin the Christian aspect. I now don t have a relation with my mom or because of this. It ruins you mentally if taken unwillingly. My experience was AWFUL!!! I would sue but I m 18 and don t have money or the knowledge to, but one day I will. They took 4 months of my youth and wish they could repay it. It was the most traumatic things I ve lived. It s been over 2 years since I been back and still haunts me till this day. Missed Thanks Giving, Christmas and New Years. I took the time and effort to write this. You can tell they done messed me up. They just want your money and cultivate your children into their cult. I was once a Christian and now know it s all just a money making industry. Wake up people. Wish not a single soul goes through what I went.
