About U Turn For Christ

U-Turn For Christ is a two-month minimum residential ministry of restoration for men struggling with the sin of addiction. U-Turn For Christ is located in Pahrump, Nevada.

At U-Turn for Christ they believe Jesus is the only way to true freedom from the sin of addiction. Their program is based entirely on the Word of God. Christian discipleship is at the center of everything they do.

Phase 1 is a two-month phase of the program with a highly restricted and monitored schedule. The resident must complete foundational courses of personal study, attend daily instructional studies and attend regular church services. Studies will address issues that lead to addictions, destructive behavior, wrong decision making, and much more.

Phase 2 is four months of the residential stay, where the resident now becomes a serious Bible student, required to attend special study classes as well as the daily instructional studies and church services. Work projects for Phase Two residents may be outside of the residence and more community focused, emphasizing the serving of others. This phase is still very restrictive and structured.

At least there's hope for those who believe and in those who have turned around within Christ. Keep a positive mindset about those who are helping in any way, we all cross paths for a reason, let the reasons be in a good way for it to flourish............ negative intentions lurk all over, the couple whom run the Cavalry church, Pastor John and wife Marianne are rehabilitated and are rehabilitating others, let God do the judging!!!! I have commendable words about this program that is U-Turn for Christ and that they have helped many people with drug addictions, and Pahrump should be thankful they offer more help for our community......this is all within my opinion of course........may God bless us all!!!! Amen!!!

The program of U-turn for Christ is a good program; however, Pastor John Jimenez, needs some serious accountability - or he needs a replacement. First off, Pastor John Jimenez, still owes me well over $1000. I was acting as the head overseer for many months and began texting a young lady in order to cultivate a relationship. Her and I chatted very respectfully about Jesus and only good natured matters. John, after learning this, issued me a 5 foot by 5 foot hole to dig as punishment for talking to a woman while in the program. Although it was revealed that hers and my conversations were all done in good taste, I knew that talking to a woman at the ranch was against the rules. After being told I needed to dig a hole as punishment, I then told Pastor John Jimenez I did not want to be his head overseer any longer. He proceeded to tell me that his discipline had changed and he now was going to force me to restart the 8 month program - I was 9 days away from completing! This was a brutally dishonest, disingenuous, and SPITEFUL move on Pastor John Jimenez's behalf. I was on probation. I decided to leave the ranch instead of bow to his spiteful dealings. Literally nothing changed from the moment my punishment was issued (to dig a hole) - to the moment he told me I'd have to restart the entire program, other than me telling him I didn't want to be his overseer. This kind of abuse of power needs to change. As I walked off the ranch, I thought I was going to prison because I decided not to be walked all over by Pastor John. He thought I'd go to prison too. Unfortunately for him, the judge strongly disagreed with his decision and backed me up and so did my probation officer. I highly recommend seeking a different U-turn. The program of U-turn is a great program WHEN the figures of authority are genuinely servants of God and not spiteful and hypocritical. John did a lot of good by teaching me about the bible, but he lost all respect when he made such a bad choice because he was upset I wouldn't be his overseer. I wish the guy the best, but will never look back after how he treated me.

They use the same tactics that scientology uses. After you leave they will continue to stalk and harass you. Even your entire family.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enter drug rehab in Nevada, you receive professional assistance to remove drugs from your body and cease your body's need for the substance. You learn coping strategies and receive support to prevent relapse and enjoy long-term sobriety.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Making my son dig a hole in 112 degree weather is cruel most likely bording on criminal. This place is the wrong place to recover. Addiction is a disease and recovery should be handled by professionals in a medical field not prophets or zealots.

This is an organization that works hard to help those who in some cases reject that help when it doesn t fit their agenda. Watch out for negative reviews, consider the source. There is accountability through Calvary Chapel the program boasts of transformed lives. I applaud their work and the selfless dedication or PastorJohn and his devoted wife Marianne.

This place is a bona-fide cult. Be careful with the "pastor" and his wife, as they are extremely misleading. They claim to be Bible-based in nature, but when the rubber meets the road, everything is subject to the whim of a 400 lb meth-addict. Once you are in Big John's cross-hairs he will either smother you with his weird form of attachment labeled as tough love, or he will kick you out to the nearest gas station to fend for yourself. This man has no accountability and does as he pleases. I warn everyone to please proceed with caution - this rehab facility has no true success rate as nobody has left on decent terms with the man who runs it - Big John.
